Meet your doula here in sunny Southern California! As a pro-choice advocate and believer in all types of birthing settings, I'm here to provide support, education, and empowerment to families of all kinds. Whether you're planning a home birth, hospital birth, or something in between, I'm here to help guide you through the process with compassion and care. I believe that every birthing person deserves to be heard and respected, and I'm here to be your advocate and partner every step of the way. As a doula, I'm all about providing holistic, personalized care to every family I work with. That means taking the time to get to know you, your partner, and your family, and tailoring my support to meet your individual needs. Whether you need help navigating the often-overwhelming world of modern birth, or you just want someone to offer a listening ear and words of encouragement, I'm here to support you. I'm also happy to offer practical advice, resources, and guidance throughout your birthing journey. And as a pro-choice doula, I believe in advocating for access to safe, compassionate care for all birthing people, regardless of their background, beliefs, or circumstances. I'm here to support you in your choices and help you navigate any challenges that may arise during the birthing process. May 20, 2023 at 3:09 am | Client reviewShort of the decision to have a child in the first place, hiring Mathilde as both a birth and postpartum doula was probably the best decision my husband and I made in our journey to becoming parents. She has been there for us through deciding whether or not to induce labor, labor itself, an emergency c-section, the postpartum experience, and, most recently, sleep training.
Here are the things I love most about Mathilde: 1) She is supportive of the choices you make. She doesn’t push for natural birth, breastfeeding, etc. She is simply there to support you in the birth, postpartum and parenting experience you want. 2) Any recommendations she makes are evidence-based, and she will send you her sources. 3) She is French and provides a perspective outside of just U.S. norms and practices. My husband and I have LOVED learning about French/European perspectives on different elements of parenting. (For example, parents in Europe as a whole seem to do a better job of finding balance as a family and not making absolutely everything revolve around the baby.) 4) As a mom herself, she can share a lot from her own experiences. We asked for recommendations on so many things (formula, diaper bags, sleep sacks, you name it), and we have loved everything Mathilde has recommended. She has saved us hours of research. 5) Mathilde is a genuine, lovely person. I have appreciated how caring and funny she is, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

May 21, 2023 at 3:43 am | Client reviewHiring Mathilde as our postpartum doula was the best decision we made for our family, the best money we have ever spent, and she is the reason that we truly enjoyed the newborn stage as new parents. She is incredibly professional, warm, and kind.
We had no idea what we were doing when we first got home from the hospital, she arrived and gently taught us everything and answered all of our questions, building our confidence. She also was very good at stepping back and allowing us to learn and do on our own with her guidance. For example we were so nervous about the first bath, and she made it fun and a great experience for us and baby because of the encouragement. She was a trustworthy and calming presence during the most vulnerable time of our lives, and she made it possible for us to enjoy our new baby and not be over tired and overwhelmed.
Not only is she great with babies, but she is an amazing cook and made sure we always had delicious food to eat during her time with us.
I can’t say enough good things about her, she feels like family. If you’re looking for care she is your best option!

For my first pregnancy I knew I will not have an epidural and I needed someone to guide me this is when someone recommended Mathilde. She had been very supportive during my whole pregnancy, recommended me to use some self hypnosis. She never judged me, recommended me some practice but never imposed and most of all she listen to me and my wishes. The big day I sent her a message in middle of the night and she arrived ready to assist me and be there to be my voice to all the nurse to make sure they follow my birthing plan. She always included my husband, gave him and advised him how to be the best partner ever during this delivery. I could never dream of a better delivery and better doula. I recommend her 1000%.
