Practice overview
I left my job as a database programmer to pursue a passion for helping families in 2005 and I haven't looked back. Over the past 17 years I have supported over 300 births and including many clients for several births. In addition to being a birth doula, I am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and am the immediate past president of the Lamaze International Board of Directors. When not supporting families in person, I bring childbirth education to the world on YouTube and have a growing channel there with 1 million + views and nearly 300 videos.
As a birth doula, I provide 1 scheduled prenatal appointment and then add additional appointments as needed. My service is customized for your needs. I serve families birthing in hospitals, birth centers and having home births.

Alice taught us about advocating for ourselves, to ensure we were asking the right questions and making our birth experience what we wanted it to be. Alice is well-regarded in her industry and so qualified as a childbirth educator, a Lamaze Board member, and a doula, but it is her passion that qualifies her as the best doula around! We had the pleasure of working with Alice for two births, and from our first pre-natal meeting to our last post-natal meeting and every interaction in between, Alice was kind, nurturing, funny, professional, engaging, and a joy to work with!

She is your advocate, coach and teammate all at the same time. My birthing experience didn’t go as I expected, but Alice helped me navigate the twists and turns with encouragement and non-judgmental support. When I had to make tough decisions, her guidance gave me the confidence to know I was making the best choices for myself and my baby. My experience would have been exponentially more stressful for myself and my partner if she had not been there. I am so grateful she was part of my daughter’s birth.
