Hi, I’m Abby and I am a postpartum doula in Los Angeles, CA. I studied with DONA International and I’m in the process of completing my DONA International Postpartum Doula Certification. Previously, I spent 6 years working in childcare in NYC, spending most of my time with families of newborns, infants and toddlers which spawned my passion for this work. I am also an actor, audition coach and dancer! I completed my BFA at NYU, spent several years in the theater and moved to LA in the pandemic. In my practice, I provide according to your needs. I will help you care for baby, offer tips and a listening ear, cook nutritious meals (I’m also a great baker!), help out with big siblings, light cleaning, baby laundry, run errands and provide referrals when necessary. If bodyfeeding, I will provide guidance with latching and nursing positions as well as connections to lactation consultants in your area.

I became a doula after understanding how little we are taught and prepped by our systems about the postpartum period. My goal is to smooth the bumps in the transition from birth to home. To help you build the systems that work for you. I want to foster the maximum amount of time and connection you have with your new baby and help you feel the most confident in this latest chapter.

Abby is an incredible doula with the most calming presence. Her attention to every detail of my baby and my care helped immensely with making me feel sane throughout such a huge life change. She had a vast knowledge of all aspects of baby care, and thoroughly researched and delivered sources for any question I had. Every time she came into a house full of chaos she turned it into calm, relaxing, order, and in a time that could have been isolating I felt so supported. I cannot recommend Abby enough!

Abby’s expertise helped my husband and I navigate early childhood with our son. She was especially helpful in guiding us how to communicate with each other in our care of a newborn. I’d recommend Abby to anyone and feel extremely confident in your ability of newborn expertise and breastfeeding.

Abby is a jewel. She anticipates our needs, and has gone above and beyond in her care for us. She’s always on time, and a lovely person to be around. She is kind and gentle with my baby, and genuine in the joy she brings to every task. I highly recommend her and hope you get the chance to work with her!
