I am a Certified Lactation Counselor and Birth/Postpartum doula, in part because of my own experiences. I found myself unfulfilled in other fields of work because I was ignoring what I was called to do. I had a myriad of pregnancy issues, including loss, high risk medical complications, postpartum mood disorder, PTSD, and breastfeeding challenges. Like many families, we could not find the right resources, despite looking and asking for help. I don't want another person to fall through the cracks like I did. We all benefit from having compassionate, non-judgmental help in the process of starting or adding to our families, and it brings me immense satisfaction to be that person for others.
