  Carley, at Mother Magic Doula, has been such a help and bright light throughout my entire pregnancy. To begin, Carley has such a beautiful and caring spirit. You feel and know with each conversation and consultation you have with her that she cares and is answering your questions or concerns with so much knowledge, thought, and love. Carley has helped my partner and I develop and create a birth plan we are comfortable and knowledgeable with to welcome our baby into this world. She carefully walked me through each step of a birth plan so my partner and I could make the best informed decision. I am very passionate about doulas being a game changer in labor. With my second I had amazing doula support which I strongly feel empowered me to have the unmedicated birth I had longed for. I was initially drawn to this work due to that experience and truly feel I have found my calling in birth support.   I hired Liz as my doula for my second VBAC. She was always friendly & professional. I could relate to her because she also had an unplanned cesarean & VBAC. I felt that she really understood my feelings & desires for my birth. She was a great communicator & checked in with me frequently. She was a wonderful asset to my birth team. I was born to be a labor Doula! I love what I do and am humbled at the opportunities that my career has given me. I have been practicing for over 17 years and in that time, have helped close to 400 families bring their babies into the world. I began my career after having a less than ideal birth with my first son. I educated myself much better the second time and had such an amazing experience that I knew I had to help others find the same joy and strength that I had found in myself. Thus began Doula Baby!   From a dad’s perspective… WOW! I don’t even know where to begin with how to explain how amazing it was having Jill there to help guide us throughout this amazingly wonderful and terrifying experience. To all the dads out there, having a doula like Jill will make your life so much easier when your partner is delivering your baby. Jill made it so I could concentrate on supporting and encouraging my wife so that I didn’t have to worry about a lot of the other stuff. The moment I fully realized the benefit of having Jill with us in the hospital was when something happened and Jill asked me to get the nurse to update them. If Jill was not in the room with us it would have been just my wife and I. There is no way that I would have known to go get a nurse and that was one of the scarier thoughts that I had. I remember looking at my wife and saying “I’m so glad that Jill is here” with a slightly terrified look on my face. Jill thought of everything and prepared me so well for helping my wife deliver our son. She is such a calming presence that you can’t help but stay calm and positive during the delivery. It was such an amazing experience that I honestly don’t know why we would ever not have her for any future pregnancies. Jill is like part of our family and will be one of the first people that we call when we are pregnant again!

  Ellen was responsive and thoughtful throughout my pregnancy and birth. She frequently met with me to plan out my desired vision of a home birth. Although this was my second labor and birth, Ellen would often think of things I never would have on my own. She was always kind and patient with me and my other family members. During the birth, if I didn’t require her immediate attention, she was helping my midwives or tending to our oldest child. Ellen has an arsenal of comforting techniques and combined with her tender disposition and confident demeanor, I trusted Ellen to know what to do and when. Ellen even comforted my mother when she needed it. When Ellen was present, I felt safe and well cared for. She helped create the perfect atmosphere to welcome a new baby into this world and a can’t recommend her enough!

My journey into the Birth World started with my Bachelors of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver. There I studied Integrative Health care and Health Care Management.   Kelly was an amazing doula to me for the birth of my second daughter! My birth experience did not go as I was hoping, but Kelly’s support and encouragement made a huge difference and made the experience much more positive! She took turns with my husband pressing on my hips during every contraction, let me squeeze her hand, was a support person for my husband, prayed for me when things got really tough, came in the middle of the night and stayed until morning, texted and called me before and after the birth and always let me know she was there for me, and was so supportive when I was not at my best. I don’t think I could have gotten through that birth experience without Kelly. Kelly is very knowledgable about birth, labor positions, comfort techniques, and breastfeeding. Kelly is an awesome doula!

As a birth doula I am here to support you before, during and after baby's birthday. I will be providing you with resources throughout your journey to make informed decisions. We will have two prenatal meetings and during those meetings we will go over your birth wishes. We will discuss the benefits & risks of each choice you have, discuss what could happen, practice comfort measures including: rebozo work, counter-pressure, pelvic release, hip squeezes, positions to encourage baby's descent & anterior position and open your pelvis by 25% more. We will discuss how you can best prepare yourself for immediately after the birth of your child(ren). I will be with you at the onset of active labor and all the way through to 1-2 hours postpartum. I am there as well to take the primary support role so your partner can take a rest, nap, grab fresh air, eat, etc. More importantly, I am there to enhance our partner's role and so they do not have to remember everything you both learned during childbirth classes. If you wish to breastfeed I am there to help support a good first latch as I am trained in breastfeeding basics. During the baby's birth story I will be taking notes so we can discuss your story during postpartum. Ever since seeing my brother born in a birth center at age 7, I knew that an unmedicated birth at a birth center was my goal. After two amazing birth experiences (following three pregnancies), one with my daughter, and one as a surrogate for a beautiful baby boy in January 2015, I could not be more excited to help other persons achieve their own birth goals! While my official doula journey started in 2015, I have been supporting people in various capacities my whole life, and this was just the official next step. I received my birth doula certification through DONA International, and have continued to study the body, birth, and supporting the birthing person since.

  Katie is the kind of doula every mama deserves! She is incredibly compassionate and listens so well. Katie walked through my pregnancy with me each step of the way, instilling confidence and peace as she educated and encouraged me in my journey towards a VBAC. She even made me a personalized birth affirmation banner for my hospital room. During my labor and delivery, she brought such a calming presence and was a warrior advocate for me the entire time. I am forever grateful that I made the decision to include Katie White in my birthing team.

I have been assisting family and friends with birth for about 12 years. I saw my first birth when I was 13 and knew the birth world was a perfect fit for my heart. I have three children, two girls and a boy. All of my birth experiences were very different, but my son's birth is what helped me decide to pursue my Birth Doula certification. I was born and raised in Alabama, but I am a Colorado transplant of four years now and we have decided to make this place our forever home. HudMama Doula Care, LLC was founded in 2016 after the birth of my first son and I have been serving families since then. I meet with my clients twice prenatally, to get to know you and your birth intentions. I provide evidenced based information but also want to get to know my clients on a deeper level, so that I can best support them. I entered into the childbirth field for two main reasons. First, I wanted to empower women through the natural methods of childbirth. I remember the feelings of strength and control that I encountered when I had my two children at home in the presence of midwives and I wanted to pass this on to other expectant mothers. With my first pregnancy, I was alone and thinking of giving my baby up for adoption. Then one day, along comes the most incredible woman who ended up changing my life. She was a midwife who said she would take me on as a client for the fee of $50 (for supplies) in the hopes that a home birth would convince me to keep the baby. Well, her plan was a success and she has given me a gift I have yet to repay. Now I have a twenty-two-year-old daughter, a seventeen-year-old son, an eight-year-old daughter and the most wonderful husband in the world. My second reason for getting into the birthing field was because I want to eradicate the general public’s misconceptions about pregnancy and the birthing process. A woman’s pregnant uterus should not be treated as a tumorous growth to be controlled by medicine, but rather a natural event that women have been participating for many years before doctors. In most cases, birth can be accomplished safely and satisfactorily without intervention, such as drugs and surgery. The need for patience must be practiced in the presence of a laboring woman.

  I have had three home births with Candace and she is absolutely amazing! All of my experiences were different, but my most recent delivery was more unexpected. I was able to deliver a very large 9.5 lb posterior baby at home with Candace’s quick action and guidance. I am certain if not for her and my midwife, I would have had a c-section. She has so much experience, that I felt completely comfortable during the whole process. Throughout the prenatal appointments, she never judged or was pushy- just very down to earth and friendly. When offering testing, she always explained risk/benefit and alternatives without bias towards her opinion or judgement. She’s very empathetic and you can tell she loves what she does. Being a doula and supporting any person/couple who desires that kind of support is a passion & deep desire of my heart. My birth stories are 2 of the most significant events in my life - they were beautiful, challenging, empowering, and deeply personal to me. The support I received at both births had such a profound impact on each birth story and the outcome. My desire is to support, encourage, and hold space without judgement or critique for birthing people so that their birth stories are ones of positivity, empowerment, intimacy and joy. I provide 2 prenatal visits where we establish your birth goals, discuss labor and birth, and establish a trusting relationship for you and your partner. I work closely with partners so that they are empowered, equipped, and confident as your number one support in labor and are as involved as they choose to be. Once in labor, I am with you constantly, as well as immediate postpartum. I do a follow-up postpartum visit within 2 weeks of birth to go over breastfeeding, baby wearing, other helpful tips and suggestions that go along with settling in and transitioning into parenthood, and most significantly, processing your birth experience. I have multiple packages available based on what kind of support you desire. I also have a scholarship fund made of contributions from previous clients that can be used to help with the investment, if financial assistance is needed.

  Anna provides the perfect balance of business and bedside manner. While it was clear from the outset that she was incredibly knowledgeable about the birthing process and all it entails, it was the caring, empathic energy that exuded from her that sealed the deal for us. She took time to truly get to know us, our goals for our birthing process, as well as understanding that when it’s go time, things can fly out the window. We felt over-prepared, in the best way possible, for our journey to meeting our little man. When labor did arrive, Anna was the eagle scout we all need: prepared with all the tools (from snacks to juice to appropriate and timely interventions) necessary to make labor as comfortable and joyful as it could possibly be.
  We cannot say enough good things about Anna so we will leave it at this: If you are contemplating utilizing the services of a professional doula, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you pass up the opportunity to have Anna be a part of your process.

I come from a medical background, working as an RN with postpartum moms and babes in the hospital and in an OBGYN clinic. I have completed the birth doula training through DONA, but am still working on the final certification. I also provide postpartum "help" at home.

I work with a doula agency, Intuitive Birth. There are three of us doulas, I enjoy working with a team. My journey began about seven years ago when I started to get asked to support single mom's during pregnancy and labor. My passion continued to grow into something larger. I knew then that I wanted to dive into childbirth work full time! I am a certified birth doula with DONA and I am also trained as a childbirth educator through CAPPA where I will soon offer a series of childbirth classes to families. My doula services include a complimentary meet and greet, two prenatal visits, unlimited hours of labor support and one postpartum visit. I do offer breastfeeding support to my clients.
