Mindy was a part of our family support system for about 3 years, since my youngest son was 11 months old. She walked along side us during a very difficult babyhood/toddlerhood when my son struggled to eat solids and reach development milestones. Her knowledge in child development, genuine care for our family, and willingness to go above and beyond to help us feel heard and supported, were a huge comfort during those early years when much was unknown in how to help our son advance in his development and quality of life. Mindy is great at problem solving with the parent, as well as validating the hard moments and providing support when things seem challenging. While my relationship with Mindy didn’t overlap with my son’s infancy, she provided all the support later that I would have longed to have received in the first few months. I highly recommend Mindy as a doula and support to expecting parents.

I was nervous to have a stranger in our home at such a special and personal time, but Mindy was professional, attentive, and easily meshed with our personalities. She helped me build confidence in my intuitions as a mother in a thoughtful and calming way. I loved how well she listened and observed and celebrated all the little steps we had taken between sessions. She truly encapsulated what a doula should be for a family; a calming and easy presence while providing the encouragement and support a new mother needs.

I have known Mindy for years and have been forever grateful to have been able to glean from her knowledge and experience working with young children and their families. In fact, Mindy was the one who first got me started on my own path into birth work by offering non-judgmental encouragement and amazing tips and tricks that I still use today. She taught me how to step into a family’s home with respect and calmness, and modeled to me how to be a person parents can trust and depend on.

Mindy’s experience working with special needs and vulnerable families is unmatched. She is compassionate, warm, and extremely knowledgeable. She has so much to offer families and any client lucky enough to book her for postpartum support will be incredibly fortunate to have someone like her by their side.
