Practice overview
Prior to my career as a nurse, I worked as a nanny for several families over the course of 10 years, and have always enjoyed caring for and supporting families in their own home. My time as a nanny included caring for children ranging in a age from newborn to 8 years, as well as providing care for children with special needs. I have 8.5 years of experience as a RN, and the last three of those years have been as a Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum nurse. I have had the privilege of supporting dozens of families as they experience the life changing moments of their baby's birth, as well as those special 24-72 hours after. It is truly the most rewarding, meaningful job, and I am particularly passionate about helping new mothers feel supported and cared for in the most empathetic, non-judgmental way. My goal as a postpartum doula is to be able to provide continued support for mothers and babies as they transition into their new normal of day to day life at home. This can take many different forms, and can be tailored to fit your needs. I love to provide support and education with all newborn care including breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, soothing techniques and newborn sleep, bathing, and understanding basic newborn needs. I am more than happy to snuggle your little one while you shower, sleep, or simply get some much needed "you time". I can provide household help with laundry, dishes, and light cleaning, as well as running errands for you. I am happy to hear what your unique needs are and accommodate them if possible!
