Practice overview
As I sat down to think about what birth truly meant to me, my mind went directly to how pure and innocent children are. How vulnerable birthing persons are when they are carrying a child and the months immediately after delivery are topics often overlooked. I chose to name my doula services after what a Lily flower represents and what I believe parents should give themselves more of each and every day leading up to and after delivery. Lilies represent purity, fertility, innocence, and rebirth/new life. These all pertain to the beautiful journey of pregnancy and childbirth. Grace is defined as the disposition to an act or instance of kindness, courtesy, or clemency. How many times have you heard someone say “Give yourself, some grace? You are human!”. New mothers and fathers are often their own harshest critics. Children do not come with a manual! Trust me I learned the hard away! They are a gift and divinely assigned to their parents. You learn as you go about your parenting experience and with the help of a doula, you can avoid some bumps along the way!

Taylor made sure to curate her perinatal visits to my specific needs and concerns about childbirth. When my hospital wasn’t able to provide my scheduled induction, Taylor helped me contact my OB and come up with a contingency plan. Once I was able to secure an emergency visit I was immediately sent to the hospital for the birth. Taylor went by my mother’s home to collect my maternity bag and ensure that aspects of my birth plan were carried out even in this emergent situation. She was instrumental in helping me get through the birth, which was swift and dramatic. She helped to support both me and my husband during a situation that was changing minute to minute. Her preparation helped the medical staff to be abreast of my needs and allowed for me to continue to receive excellent care. Once I came home with Ayden, she assisted in every aspect of acclimation, including helping my older son to adjust to having a new kid around. Taylor has gone out of her way to make sure that my family has the best possible experience. I can’t imagine having my son without her. Having her as my doula made all the difference and allowed for a scary situation to become a beautiful family memory.

I had a complicated labor and I 100% couldn’t have handled it without having Taylor there. Even during pregnancy and postpartum, I was able to confide in her with whatever I was going through personally/emotionally as well. we developed an amazing friendship that I will forever cherish! Not only did she help me, she was a great advocate for my boyfriend and family, too. I would recommend having Taylor as your doula to anyone.🥰

She gave me the confidence I needed at my baby’s birth even thought his was my first baby and i was extremely nervous. She also went above and beyond, she gave my baby the first gift after his birth, this was so thoughtful of her. She is indeed every pregnant woman companion. She is a very good Doula. I will like to have her again for my next birth.

She is very professional, hygienic, and friendly. She was more than a doula; she was a therapist, a confidant, and a friend during my postpartum recovery, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Taylor helped me in so many ways I can’t even describe. She answered all of my questions, informed me of techniques and tips for birth. Assisted me with creating my birth plan and advocating for me during birth! My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the different techniques she taught us to assist with controlling contractions. She brought everything I didn’t know I needed to birth that helped calm me. She’s just AMAZING!! You can tell that she truly has a passion for this and it shows! I highly recommend Taylor for any mom who wants a five star doula experience.

First and foremost, this doula’s professionalism was unmatched. She displayed an impressive level of knowledge and expertise throughout our interactions. From explaining the various stages of labor to discussing pain management techniques, she guided me with confidence and reassurance. Her ability to provide evidence-based information and answer all my questions helped alleviate any anxieties I had, making me feel well-informed and prepared for the birthing process.

She is very passionate about taking very good care of her Mommas. When she said she will be there for me for all my needs, she definitely meant it. From day one, she was always very attentive to all my questions and necessities, even still on my postpartum. She helped me prepare mentally for all kinds of scenarios on my delivery, and I am so glad she went over it. On the day of my delivery she was my angel. She was very helpful, she went above and beyond helping me with all, from contractions, helping me with all positions available to dilate and even when pushing. At the end, I ended up on C section, but I was not scared because thanks to Taylor, I knew what was gonna happen. Having her there as part of my team, besides hospital staff, and family, was a game changer. She ended up being not only a great resource through my pregnancy, but a beautiful friend. I would definitely recommend having a Doula, but having Taylor will always be a great plus.

She’s a joy to be around and has a calming, gentle demeanor that makes the surges more manageable during labor. You know she is there, but she doesn’t impose herself into your space. Taylor knows when to step in and when to let you do your thing, which is such a huge skill as a doula. We love her and hope to share another birth with her in the future!

I guarantee if you go with her services she will be a source of knowledge, strength and peace. I was a FTM and she helped guide me and answer so many questions and concerns. She assisted me in how to handle the situation of my newborn being dehydrated while my milk was coming in…I didn’t know what to do and she was literally an angel ! Her encouragement , knowledge and advice in that nerve racking situation helped save my newborn from harm and danger. Also, during my L&D my birth plan was totally changed as I got pre-eclampsia …although disappointed I had to do the best I could…and she rolled with every change while helping me stay calm and focused. I thank God for her assistance in having a positive birth experience!
