Practice overview
Hello everyone, my name is Raven Brown; I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where I've experienced first hand how love and support can make a huge difference in a expected overwhelming situation. I have always wanted to make an impact in my community by empowering others to be able to have and use their voice. I am currently pursuing my nursing degree here in Houston as well. My love for becoming a doula started when I stumbled upon a woman handing out her business cards in front of a Hyde Park record store. After gaining more information, I knew this was a sign and my future calling. I plan on bringing various education tools, one on one support, and endless dedication to my future clients. I will do my part in helping bring your birth vision to fruition. I will work by your side as you prepare to bring forth a new life and be present with a little of that Chicago community love and compassion right here in the Houston, Texas area.

October 10, 2022 at 10:46 am | Client reviewI had the honor of Raven being my doula, she was so kind and showed much empathy while I was laboring, but was struck me the most was her mainly using “we” statements. I did not have a partner in the room but Raven made me feel as if I was never alone.

Raven was extremely helpful with guiding us in what we wanted in our birth plan. She made my girlfriend feel so at ease off of the first initial visit that we are preparing for labor in a calmer state than we were previously in”
