Practice overview
My primary role is a wife and stay at home mommy, but I take a limited number of clients in the south DFW area. How I started my doula career is actually after my first birth (a loss). I had an unmedicated birth, and felt empowered by the strength of my body (even in the midst of such a difficult season). I began my certification (Doulaversity) soon after and finished it along with my first, pre-certification births shortly before my third birth (second live birth). I started taking clients as a certified doula in August of 2022, and I have loved it! Doula-ing brings me such joy and life.
Personally, I have experienced a stillbirth, a hospital birth with an OBGYN, a home birth transfer from a CPM to CNMs in-hospital, and as a high risk mama due to a genetic disorder, I understand how it can feel to have limited birth options. As a result, I am passionate about supporting all births and providing resources for an empowered birth in and out of hospital. I’ve seen the beauty of midwifery and honor and love our local midwives. I also see the benefits and life-saving measures offered in hospitals. I love helping moms navigate which place is suitable for their birth type and create a birth plan that brings them confidence and understanding.
I am also certifying as a childbirth educator because I am so passionate about learning and teaching evidence-based birth practices and want to share that love with my clients and community.
