I became a labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nurse after graduating with a BSN in 2001. I have over 20 years of nursing experience and have worked with patients in the hospital, clinical setting, through educational programs and in the home. I specialize in helping patients create a birth and postpartum plan that meets their individual needs. I make sure parents are educated and informed before the birth takes place so they can feel prepared and enjoy the experience more. This eases anxiety which helps the bodies natural labor progression. I offer education including Lamaze and other breathing/meditative techniques, positional pain management, developing a birth plan, the labor experience and deciding what is right for you, Breast feeding education/assistance, and mother-baby postpartum care. I truly enjoy the entire process from conception to birth and beyond. I love being able to watch families grow and thrive after the birth of a new baby. It is my passion to help families feel equipped and supported throughout the entire process.
