Doula Sarah Sullivan

    Practice overview

I first became interested in doula work during the pregnancy and birth of my daughter in 2016. At the time, I quickly realized that I knew close to nothing about childbirth, and felt overwhelmed trying to navigate the planning and decision making process. My research mind kicked in and I delved deep into the birth world, learning everything I could. This led me to investigate not only birth, breastfeeding and newborn care, but also nutrition, mindfulness, and holistic lifestyle. In January 2020 I was lucky to attend an amazing full spectrum doula training, preparing me to support families in birth and postpartum, with additional training in reproductive health. My passion is combining the scientific and researched information necessary to make the best choices for your birth, along with my holistic knowledge and spiritual perspective in my doula work. I genuinely love to meet expecting parents and share my knowledge, support, and passion for birth and babies!

Sarah came to the rescue for us as a postpartum doula when I was dealing with insomnia and some bad back pain from complains from my birth and needing some overnight support with our newborn son. She was respectful, quick to act, and always seemed to anticipate my needs. She helped share knowledge and guidance during that sensitive time and helped me get over the hump when I was struggling. I am so grateful for her help. She was great with my son, always so sweet and gentle. I highly recommend Sarah as a postpartum doula!

Sarah is one of the top Doulas I refer my pregnant clients to! I appreciate her dedication to birth, the most up-to-date information, and, most importantly, her clients.
