Hiya! I am Dezanee Bluthenthal (She/Her/Hers). I received my Postpartum Doula training through the National Black Doula Association. I am actively working on receiving my certification through the NBDA as well. Providing care to individuals that are in their 4th trimester was always a passion of mine. I was providing Postpartum support for the women around me way before I knew what a Doula was. The stars have finally aligned, and I am finally able to provide that support with the knowledge I have learned through my completed training. As your postpartum doula, I am here to help your family in those first days and weeks after the new baby arrives. I will assist you with self-care recovery measures, provide information on mother and baby care, assist you in caring for and feeding baby/babies, breastfeeding support, infant soothing, teaching and education, assist your family with adjusting to the new roles and responsibilities, assist with sibling adjustments, assist with pet adjustments and parent coaching. I also offer light household support.

Care philosophy

Pregnancy-related mortality rates are 3x higher in birthing people of color than in white birthing people. There is also a prevalence of maternal mental health conditions in birthing people of color that goes underreported and unaddressed at a alarming rate. These facts were the catalyst to my purpose in combatting these disparities through a evidence-based and holistic approach.

Divine daytime postpartum doula support is personalized with connection & care. A 90-minute in-home prenatal meeting that addresses your birth and postpartum recovery plans, with five or more visits scheduled to meet your family’s needs. Support is scheduled in advance of birth for your convenience when possible and includes comprehensive mother, partner, and sibling care in 4-hour shifts.

Overnight postpartum doula support is personalized to meet your nighttime needs. A 90-minute in-home prenatal meeting that addresses your birth and postpartum recovery plans, with five or more visits scheduled to support rest and restoration. Support is scheduled in advance of birth for your convenience when possible and includes love and care for you and your baby or babies in 8-hour shifts.
