Bare With Me Doula Group (Formally known as Bare With Me: A Mother-Daughter Doula Duo) was founded by Deundra Hundon and Stephanie Dixon, a mother-daughter duo based out of San Francisco, California. It was founded based on their own experiences, the experiences of their loved-ones, peers and ancestors. Although now known as, Bare With Me Doula Group , the company’s founding principles remain the same; to restore the community through collective work, education and providing evidence-based information.

We’ve also been working alongside one another as birth professionals ever since. Together we have supported over 50 families in labor, birth and postpartum. She is informative, loving, kind, and respectful of my choices as a mom and birth professional. To know Deundra is to love her!

I first met Mrs. Hundon on the job, she was guiding a family through their first birth, and I was the attending physician. Her skills as a doula wear apparent and well known among staff, midwives and physicians in my practice. In addition I got to experience her interdisciplinary work firsthand as we worked together to have a successful, joyous birth. In addition Mrs. Hundon and I have partnered together in a clinical perinatal program that provides whole person care to Black families. In addition, she is a leader in the community Doula program in the Bay Area and teaches other aspiring midwives. She is amazing provider, with spirit and energy that engages you from the moment you meet her.

She brings her whole self into her work, is skilled at both giving and receiving feedback and is relentless in advocating for respectful and holistic care for families. She becomes the type of “Auntie” that you can’t imagine raising kids without.
