Over the years, I’ve worked in maternity in just about every capacity. I eventually came to realize from working so intimately with new families, that there was an enormous need for better preparation for birth and early parenting.

Starting Doulas of Austin has allowed me and my team to focus on the emotional and psychological components of birth and postpartum in hopes of achieving better outcomes for expectant and growing families.

With a respect of science and medicine coupled with the softer side of compassionate doula care, I'm confident that we’re elevating the standard of doula care in Austin.

Birth Doula Support

Our professional birth support includes but is not limited to: Dedicated doula from start to finish (no on-call rotation!), unlimited phone/text/email support from time of hire 24/7, on-call availability from time of hire, 1 in-home prenatal visit, guidance in birth plan creation, support during labor, birth, and immediate postpartum, and 1 in-home postpartum visit.

Postpartum Doula Support

Our professional postpartum support includes but is not limited to: Evidence-based education on all things related to your recovery from birth and your baby’s adjustment to life outside the womb, assisting you in your feeding choices whether breastfeeding, bottle feeding and/or pumping, recognizing and helping you navigate any postpartum mood disorders should they arise, and supporting the entire family’s adjustment including partners, siblings and pets.

RN Concierge

With month-to-month virtual support (no minimum required) from Registered Nurse and owner of Doulas of Austin, you’ll have the opportunity to address any questions, concerns, or challenges that present themselves as you navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenting transitions. Because our RN consultations are virtual they are available to anyone, anywhere!

Chiminh has been in birth work for several years and is by far the most professional person I have ever worked with. She sets clear expectations and is thorough with her clients. Above all of that, Chiminh is kind has has a true love of birth work and the families that she assists.
