Practice overview
As a nurse, I believe in evidence-based information, so that a birthing person can make the best-informed decisions for themselves and their family. Support should be unbiased and unconditional. I became a doula because I found that there is a large need for birthing people to be their own empowered advocates during births. There is also a need for support during labor, in which the nursing staff no longer provides (25% of nurses time is actually patient care.) When hiring us, you will have 2 birth doulas, who work in a partnership to ensure you have care continuity.

She was able to encourage my husband to participate while making me as comfortable as she possibly could. She knows her boundaries and when to particpate versus when to take a step back. Her peanut ball training helped her help me progress during my second labor. She listens to what you want and makes eye contact to look into your soul to see what you need. She even stayed with me until i went to antepartum so my husband could go home to the family and to rest. I would have another baby just to birth with Amy. She is a kind and incredible soul who I am lucky to tell my kids about some day.
