Deep Roots Doula Co.

    Practice overview

    I work to provide compassionate, non-judgemental, aware and evidence-based support and resources for all my clients and appreciate the different shapes and sizes birth preferences, birth journeys and families can come in. I began my birth work in the Bay Area of California and received my birth and postpartum doula certification through Doula Training International. I practiced doula work in the Bay Area and New York. I am CPR/AED certified, have a background in Neurobiology, Education, Global Poverty, newborn nannying and nursing support and have built a robust birthing community (lactation consultants, midwives, OBGYNs, photographers, therapist, LGBTQ+ friendly centers, childcare providers, prenatal yoga, etc) in the East Bay down through Palo Alto and in San Francisco where I serve. I see community as a strength all birthing people should be able to benefit from and continue to offer low-cost/sliding scale support to achieve this goal.

I provide evidence-based information and aid regarding chestfeeding, pumping and bottle-feeding (both breastmilk and formula); your physical and emotional recovery; bonding with baby; diapering, bathing and dressing baby; and infant soothing techniquesto best help you achieve your short and long-term parenting goals. Ask a Doula
    $ 35 /hr
    You may have tons of questions (totally normal!) and even more opinions shared by different care providers, friends and family. I offer virtual consultations so you can ask all of your questions in a safe, non-judgmental environment and receive evidence-based answers! I share the most up to date information in an objective, but compassionate manner. Consultations are scheduled by the hour and can cover any topic ranging from "How will a doula support my partner?" to "What is Hypoplasia/Insufficient Glandular Tissue and what does it mean for chestfeeding my baby?" or "Will I poop during birth?".
