As your doula, it is my passion to fuel the fire that is already inside of you. I wish to achieve this by educating, advocating, & cheering you on through all stages of your pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. I fiercely stand by the notion that every birth is beautiful & everyone is worthy of positive, empowering birth. I am here to meet you exactly where you are. As early as I can remember, I knew my future career would include healthcare, babies, or a mix of both. I also knew that I wanted to work intimately with people and utilize my empathy. It wasn't until my stretch of nursing in hospice that my desire to dive into doula work was solidified. In my position, I felt like I was getting away from the initial draw I had coming into a healthcare provider job - it was structured to be impersonal. I realized there is a missing piece for so many people going through life-altering events; especially birth. I whole-heartedly believe the system needs to restructure around the whole human condition and be people facing at the core level. I am humbled to be apart of the change, because everyone deserves a doula.

Care philosophy

Birth is a life-changing experience that reshapes our being. As your doula, I will be there to guide you, empower you, and support you through the journey you are about to embark upon.

Carley, at Mother Magic Doula, has been such a help and bright light throughout my entire pregnancy. To begin, Carley has such a beautiful and caring spirit. You feel and know with each conversation and consultation you have with her that she cares and is answering your questions or concerns with so much knowledge, thought, and love. Carley has helped my partner and I develop and create a birth plan we are comfortable and knowledgeable with to welcome our baby into this world. She carefully walked me through each step of a birth plan so my partner and I could make the best informed decision. Thanks to her, we feel as prepared as we can be for a situation that is hard to plan for. Thank you Carley for your knowledge and love!

I am very passionate about doulas being a game changer in labor. With my second I had amazing doula support which I strongly feel empowered me to have the unmedicated birth I had longed for. I was initially drawn to this work due to that experience and truly feel I have found my calling in birth support. I am a very empathetic person who is highly motivated to help parents find confidence and joy in their birth experience whatever their goal or plans might be. I am constantly rewarded by being able to encourage and empower new parents to work through their anxieties and fears to allow them to focus on the joy and excitement of labor, birth and beyond. I also love being able to see the relationship and interactions between partners during birth. A big part of what I do is encouraging that dynamic and making it work for us during labor.

Care philosophy

I am truly a people person and delight in what I do! I love being part of the miracle that is pregnancy and birth. My eyes still well up with happy tears at each birth I attend. I love making connections with people. It is such a blessing to help families have a bit less stress or fear in their journey into parenthood. I work to meet families where they are and give them the confidence to succeed.

I've been drawn to birth work my entire life and have found such a profound calling in my work as a doula, supporting families through their own birth journeys. I've been a part of the medical field for the past 15 years and this work has led and prepared me into my role as a doula. I am passionate about supporting families, encouraging mamas to use their intuition to meet their babies and holding space for this transformative experience that is birth. The shift into motherhood and bringing baby home is intense and beautiful and I absolutely love working with families throughout their postpartum time. I am a mama to two beautiful girls and my own unique birth experiences have helped fuel my desires to be a doula. My man and I have been married for ten incredible and crazy years. We love traveling, snowboarding and adventuring with our tiny tribe.

Care philosophy

My heart is to empower other women to feel strong and successful. I have no agenda and I enter your story with no expectation. I simply hope to bring knowledge and guidance to the table. I am your champions and advocate. I am beyond honored whenever I’m invited into someone’s birth story.

Katie is the kind of doula every mama deserves! She is incredibly compassionate and listens so well. Katie walked through my pregnancy with me each step of the way, instilling confidence and peace as she educated and encouraged me in my journey towards a VBAC. She even made me a personalized birth affirmation banner for my hospital room. During my labor and delivery, she brought such a calming presence and was a warrior advocate for me the entire time. I am forever grateful that I made the decision to include Katie White in my birthing team.

I offer a variety of packages and I am always willing to work with families to find the support that works best for them. My main goals are to ensure birthing people and families are supported both mentally and physically and that they have the resources they need to make informed decisions. I coach you to be your own advocate through this journey and I am a listening ear and calming presence along the way.

Care philosophy

After experiencing the transition into motherhood, I knew I wanted to be the support and anchor for others. I'm a listening ear, a calming touch, the gentle reminder to breathe, the shoulder to lean on. No matter what type of birth you choose, I will never judge or persuade, only you know what's best for your family. My philosophy is support without judgment and to be a calming, guiding presence.

Night Nanny Services: FAQs

A night nanny is a trained professional that specializes in newborn care. They are known as “night nannies” because they arrive at night and offer their nannying services until the morning.

Night nannies are also known as newborn care specialists, which is often abbreviated as “NCS.” A night nanny usually works with new parents for 8-12 weeks after the baby is born. Night nannies are often also called “night nurses.”

It can be incredibly exhausting to sleep train new babies, and a night nanny is expected to sleep train babies. Night nannies can also educate and inform new parents on the best way to feed, bathe, sleep train, and swaddle their children. They are generally available for 8-12 hours during the night and provide nanny services during this time.

The cost of a night nanny can vary based on a variety of factors, including their experience, their services, and their skills or specializations. Overall, the average cost of a night nanny in Greeley, CO is $25-40 per hour.

It should be noted that the price of a night nanny in Greeley, CO will likely increase if the night nanny is contracted to deal with twins or multiple children. Also, a night nanny’s cost may depend on their level of education, the needs of the newborn, or their exact responsibilities for specific clients.

There are some situations in which your insurance company will help you cover the costs of childcare, and this can obviously help those parents that want their baby’s needs met but might not be as financially secure. Unfortunately, a night nanny usually isn’t covered by insurance.

However, there are some cases where a night nanny is covered by insurance. For example, if your child health issues, parents may want to check to see whether their night nanny costs can be covered by their insurance company since their role is more directly related to your child’s health.

There are many situations in which parents might consider a night nanny in Greeley, CO. First, both parents might be working long hours, which means that neither of them have the time to actually bathe/feed/swaddle the child when necessary. Some parents might already rely on friends and family, but realize that they require more help when it comes to their children.

A night nanny is also often most necessary in situations where there are twins or triplets. These parents simply may need extra help to care for these children night after night, and night nannies can help take over some of the workload. For first-time parents, for example, having to care for multiple children for the first time can be overwhelming and stressful. Other parents might also be dealing with mental health issues or postpartum depression.

A night nanny is expected to care for the baby as the parent would if they were awake. Night nannies wash baby bottles, prepare feeds, sterilize pump equipment, and more. Overnight nannies also bathe, feed, diaper, and swaddle the baby, as well. A night nanny can also provide care in situations where the mother might be recovering from a C-section, for example.

In many cases, the process is simple: a parent often hands off their baby to their night nanny so that they can get some much-needed sleep. The night nanny remains at the household until the parent(s) wake up, and then night nannies leave once the parents can take over child care duties.

Every family’s needs are different, but night nannies are expected to burp the baby, bathe the baby, prepare formula, and provide other nanny duties. In summary, overnight nannies in Greeley, CO are expected to keep the baby fed, comfortable, clean, rested, and dry.

However, night nannies are not expected to complete household chores that are unrelated to baby care. It’s also important to note that a night nanny in Greeley, CO will obviously need to get their rest, as well – so bedding must be provided. A night nanny typically sleeps once the baby is already resting and their nanny chores are complete.

A night nanny can often help parents with emotional support or provide extra help for a sick child. An overnight nanny in Greeley, CO can help reduce stress and anxiety for many new parents who might have issues with their work-life balance.

One of the most obvious differentiators in the world of night nannies in Greeley, CO is the fact that a night nanny might have specific experience with children of a specific age. Some night nannies might have certifications such as nursing certifications or sleep certifications. Many night nannies are often involved for the first six weeks of childbirth, and some of them remain with parents for months.

For example, some night nannies might have specialized skills for children aged 1-2, while others may be more experienced with children aged 3-4. Obviously, the responsibilities of these night nannies in Greeley, CO differ depending on the age of the children that they are supervising.

Some night nannies might be CPR-certified or first-aid certified, which can give more peace of mind to parents who might be concerned about potential sleep or breathing issues. Other overnight nannies might specialize in newborns that have colic or reflux issues, as well.

There are some overnight nannies in Greeley, CO that might be open to caring for your child while you are traveling out of town, while other nannies might not be available for that amount of time. There is no certification required to become a night nanny in Greeley, CO. However, some night nannies choose to become newborn care specialists, and undergo NCS training.

There are some families that try to compare the concept of a “night nanny” to an “overnight babysitter.” The main difference here involves the level of commitment that a night nanny has to a newborn, versus a babysitter that may only have to provide minimal care to a newborn or child.

A babysitter is often not responsible for actually creating/fixing meals for newborns, washing their baby bottles, or doing their laundry. While a babysitter might monitor a newborn or make sure that they are safe – a nanny might spend time soothing a newborn, swaddling them, or taking care of their meals and clothes. A nanny has more obligations than a babysitter, and are considered more of an “extension” of the parents.
