I serve all family structures by offering safe, continuous, informative, and caring support as they begin or expand their family. I am a trained birth and postpartum doula. I offer three continuous layers of support: prenatal, birth, and postpartum care. I provide wisdom, guidance, advocacy, and support throughout pregnancy and birth. As a birth doula, I offer unconditional, non-judgmental support and encouragement to the laboring woman, her partner and/or family throughout labor, delivery, and after childbirth. After baby arrives, my clients can rely on me during those crucial first moments as a family. I take care of household duties, diaper changes, and soothing baby so the family can get some much-needed rest. I provide information on sleep, feeding, infant care, and any other questions the family has, so they can feel confident in how to care for your baby.

Care philosophy

Over the years I discovered that becoming a parent does not mean you have arrived; it means your journey is just beginning. I believe a parent is always evolving. My children are grown now; however, I continue to learn from them every day. Parenting is beautiful and complex. I welcome the opportunity to help others begin the wonderful journey into parenthood.

Tamara is such a caring individual and was an amazing doula. Having Tamara support us as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made. My husband and I, to this day, do not know how we would have done it without her help – notably during the first few weeks when we, as new parents, had no idea what was going on or what was “normal.”

Tamara is very knowledgeable, and in addition to her education and training, draws on experience with many families and her doula community to help answer questions and advise on anything from how to bathe your baby, breastfeeding, diapering your baby, to how to handle a fussy baby who doesn’t want to be consoled. She also helped with household duties such as, dishes, meal prep, and laundry.

Tamara responds quickly if you text her with a question or concern. She always has a positive attitude and is so easygoing. She proactively suggests what she can help with if you’re too overwhelmed to even figure out what could be helpful.

Her support to me as a new mom experiencing all the emotions was very patient and understanding. I always felt like I could talk to her without judgement, which was so important. After Tamara completed her time with us, she left us a gift package, which we absolutely cherish

We would highly recommend Tamara to anyone!

One of the core values of my offerings is to create safe containers where spiritually sovereign beings do not have to second guess their options, hide using coded language, act out rigid mannerisms, or inauthentic behaviors. Instead, I want my clients to find tangible value in learning how to continue identifying their own personal power. Moments of Magick provides healing & support services to guide women & families through the spiritual understanding of wellness, especially during pregnancy, childbirth & caretaking. Since childhood, I actualized my psionic ability to communicate with energy, animals, the unborn, the departed & archetypal spirits. I am a divine birthkeeper & a wise woman who uses various indigenous practices, works, healing methods, psychologies & wholistic understandings to generate safe energetic containers for optimal transformations & integrations to take place. This has been a life long process.

Care philosophy

I am passionate about sharing tools, resources, & information to women & supporters of women, including and especially, indigenous families, regarding fetal imprinting, wholistic pregnancy, childbirth & labor preparation, ancestral postpartum care, female reproductive care, & more. My offering is transcendence of 'suffering' through the awareness of conscious decision making.

I had the pleasure of working with Mamata doing reiki sessions, perinatal and birth. This was my first time working with a Doula and I’m so happy that I did. I admire her extraordinary talent and skills in being and creating a beautiful and magical experience for me and my family. She guided me through indescribable pain and lack of sleep with ease. She advised me of everything to make things better. Her knowledge about pain and delivery was apparent and quite helpful. She checked on me constantly, gave me so much knowledge and videos that were truly insightful to this birth. She has such a soothing voice and demeanor, the comfort she provided helped my labor progress in the most positive way. She helped me with guided exercises balancing labor and rest. I would’ve lost my mind if she wasn’t present. She went above and beyond to support me and my husband emotionally in such a vulnerable time and I cannot thank her enough. Thank you so much Mamata

My family has always been very supportive of my career, and it was actually my mother who advised me to take a doula class after I graduated. I began working as a medical assistant at an OB-GYN clinic where I learned so much about patient care that I still use today but I wanted to help my patients more than my scope of practice would allow. When my mother saw how much I was missing she advised me to begin my journey of becoming a doula and it has been the most wonderful journey of my life.

Care philosophy

Doula work is about birth, yes. But for me, the fact that birth happens is secondary to the fact that there is a person in front of me who has asked me to listen to and care for them.

Growing up in a big family, I saw birth firsthand and grew to love it, in all its forms. Now as a mother myself, I’ve learned the importance of advocating for oneself to find the birth plan that works for you. I began my education in the birth world a year ago, and have served families in Colorado and Washington. I serve families in hospitals, birth centers and at home. I’ve also assisted in the birth classes offered at Whatcom Pregnancy Clinic, educating women and their partners on the tools available to ease and enhance their labor and birth. I am currently taking new clients through the new year. Hope to hear from you soon!

Care philosophy

I strive to assist mothers in their journey through pregnancy and birth, with an evidence based approach. It is my belief that birth should be centered around the mother’s voice, and that her support team is there to lift her where she needs and step back when she asks. In every birth I’ve been to I’ve learned from the strength that is found in birth.

Rebekah was AMAZING!!! I honestly can’t say enough good things. I hired her super short notice like literally 2 weeks before I gave birth and she was able to make it work still. She was so great throughout my entire labor. She stayed with me at the hospital (and stayed awake to comfort me even if I was dozing off) the entire labor. She did counter pressure. She talked me through everything. She was an advocate to the hospital staff for me. She came over to my house a few days after giving birth and brought us some delicious homemade soup and rice. She was so caring, non judgmental, and easy going. I could keep going on and on about how great she was but bottom line is I don’t know how I would have made it through with out her. HIGHLY recommend!

To put it bluntly, I love babies! I am fascinated by the innate, primitive, and beautiful ability of our bodies to create new life. My intention is to support you in having the most empowering, transformative, and safe birthing experience as possible. We are not meant to birth alone. As human beings bringing new human beings into the world, it is pivotal to feel affirmed and validated during our most vulnerable and authentic moments. I want you to look back on your birth experience and feel triumphant! No matter what you’ve been through in the past, or what you are envisioning this time around, I am here to 100% support your goals and help them come to fruition. I bring knowledge, experience, and skills to this position, but more importantly, I bring Empathy, Compassion, and Presence.

Care philosophy

What best describes Yogi Doula's philosophy is the word Sakti, which is Sanskrit for “The Divine Feminine”- meaning the moment when you embody your highest, purest form of intelligence and intuition. This transformative moment can happen during childbirth when you’re surrounded by unconditional support!

Marissa is such a kind person with a gentle soul. I really leaned on her for her expansive knowledge and the never ending comfort she provided. I came to the idea of a doula in the home stretch of my pregnancy- about 7/8 months in. Even with me feeling like I was late in the doula game, Marissa assured me that I was not. That’s what I really needed in my pregnancy, comfort and reassurance. There was a lot I was frightened of and Marissa took my hand (and my foot at one point haha ?) and guided me through each moment I needed it. If I ever become pregnant again, I hope Marissa is with me.

I am very passionate about doulas being a game changer in labor. With my second I had amazing doula support which I strongly feel empowered me to have the unmedicated birth I had longed for. I was initially drawn to this work due to that experience and truly feel I have found my calling in birth support. I am a very empathetic person who is highly motivated to help parents find confidence and joy in their birth experience whatever their goal or plans might be. I am constantly rewarded by being able to encourage and empower new parents to work through their anxieties and fears to allow them to focus on the joy and excitement of labor, birth and beyond. I also love being able to see the relationship and interactions between partners during birth. A big part of what I do is encouraging that dynamic and making it work for us during labor.

Care philosophy

I am truly a people person and delight in what I do! I love being part of the miracle that is pregnancy and birth. My eyes still well up with happy tears at each birth I attend. I love making connections with people. It is such a blessing to help families have a bit less stress or fear in their journey into parenthood. I work to meet families where they are and give them the confidence to succeed.

11 reviews • 200 families supported • 10 years experience

Dakota is a Certified Birth Doula, Full-Spectrum Doula (birth, postpartum, miscarriage, termination and loss), Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and Ceremonialist living in Lyons, Colorado. She is also a student midwife who occasionally assists a home-birth midwife in the Boulder area and provides an assortment of other offerings for the childbearing continuum like Childbirth Education, Belly Binding, Council Circles and Mother/Parent Roasting, etc. Avidly studying birth since 2010, Dakota has always known that this was her “calling”. Through her years of doula and midwifery training in Bali, North Carolina, Vermont and Colorado, she deeply understands the importance of families feeling educated and empowered during their birthing experience and the impact that can have on the newborn child’s life, the family unit as a whole and the wider community. Dakota fiercely advocates for her clients in all birth settings and holds a larger vision of birth as a transformative Rite of Passage. She is passionate about holding space for clients who are interested in bringing more intention and sacredness to their birthing journey through a variety of ceremonial offerings (mother/parent honoring ceremonies, yoni steaming and sealing ceremonies, to list just a few). Dakota is also one of the founding members of The Mother’s Center in Boulder (www.themotherscenter.org). There, she holds donation-based council circles for pregnant and postpartum people in the community, as well as an assortment of other offerings like Kirtan (devotional chanting), meditation, community potlucks and many different types of workshops and ceremonies. When she is not at a birth or holding space at The Mother’s Center, you can find Dakota soaking in natural hot springs around the state, dancing the 5-Rhythms, sitting in women’s circles and probably using way too much ghee when cooking!

Care philosophy

"Matrescence" (according to anthropologist Dana Rafael) is the birth of a Mother/Parent. The Rite of Passage. It is with love and presence that I hold your hand during this Sacred Transition. And I honor your personal story. Each transition into parenthood is unique. Whatever the outcome of your pregnancy, I am here with you. I will advocate for and support *your* choice and *your* intuition.

Ellen was responsive and thoughtful throughout my pregnancy and birth. She frequently met with me to plan out my desired vision of a home birth. Although this was my second labor and birth, Ellen would often think of things I never would have on my own. She was always kind and patient with me and my other family members. During the birth, if I didn’t require her immediate attention, she was helping my midwives or tending to our oldest child. Ellen has an arsenal of comforting techniques and combined with her tender disposition and confident demeanor, I trusted Ellen to know what to do and when. Ellen even comforted my mother when she needed it. When Ellen was present, I felt safe and well cared for. She helped create the perfect atmosphere to welcome a new baby into this world and a can’t recommend her enough!

I believe pregnancy and birth is a journey to motherhood. We find strength we didn't know we had, which prepares us for the challenges and joys of motherhood. The art of being a doula to women has been a part of my life for the past twenty years. I received my training by DONA, and then subsequently moved to England. While in England I had the privilege of being counseled by Sheila Kitzinger and have taken classes from Penny Simpkin. Both of these ladies are foundational to the doula movement. My experience has been broad and diverse. I have worked in a teenage pregnancy home, birth adoption, helped international couples, V-bac, natural twins, natural breech, and a cancer survivor. Personally, I am a mother to four boys. Each of my births gave me a new experience to draw from. I have had one hospital birth (33 hours) and three home births (1.5 hours, 20 mins., and 3 hours).

Care philosophy

My philosophy is that women were designed to give birth and should be allowed to birth in a way that is comfortable for them. I believe a lot of complications during labor can be avoided by being mindful during pregnancy. Not everything can be avoided, but movement and posture during pregnancy can help create an optimal fetal position for labor.

As a birth doula I am here to support you before, during and after baby's birthday. I will be providing you with resources throughout your journey to make informed decisions. We will have two prenatal meetings and during those meetings we will go over your birth wishes. We will discuss the benefits & risks of each choice you have, discuss what could happen, practice comfort measures including: rebozo work, counter-pressure, pelvic release, hip squeezes, positions to encourage baby's descent & anterior position and open your pelvis by 25% more. We will discuss how you can best prepare yourself for immediately after the birth of your child(ren). I will be with you at the onset of active labor and all the way through to 1-2 hours postpartum. I am there as well to take the primary support role so your partner can take a rest, nap, grab fresh air, eat, etc. More importantly, I am there to enhance our partner's role and so they do not have to remember everything you both learned during childbirth classes. If you wish to breastfeed I am there to help support a good first latch as I am trained in breastfeeding basics. During the baby's birth story I will be taking notes so we can discuss your story during postpartum. You will have 1-2 postpartum meetings to go over your birth story, support breastfeeding if you wish and to answer any newborn care questions. As your postpartum doula, I support the whole family as you adjust to welcoming baby/babies into your life. I will: -Nurture your family with loving hands and heart to meet you exactly where you are, offering non-judgmental support. -Educate your family by modeling behavior, observing and offering options. -Assess the environment constantly in order to best assist you and your family. -Refer you to resources and referrals, and assist you with the skills to seek out resources and referrals. I will care for your family during the first three months, by providing you with non-medical support and companionship. I will assist with newborn care & sibling adjustment (includes furry siblings), meal prep, household organization, offer evidence based information on infant feeding, emotional & physical recovery from childbirth and other issues related to the postpartum period.

Care philosophy

My desire as a doula is to support you in a way that allows and encourages your birth wishes to be achieved. I will provide support physically, emotionally, spiritually (for some) and provide you with resources so you can make informed decisions. Once baby(s) arrive I will nurture you as parent(s) and respect your parenting style to best support you during postpartum.

Emily is a fellow doula colleague, former client of mine and dear sister-friend in the community. She is an incredible person, mother and friend. I value her connection to the more primal and intuitive sides of the birthing continuum and highly recommend her as a birth-keeper for any family that desires present, loving and connected space holding for their childbearing experience. Whenever I need back-up doula support in the Loveland area, Emily is my go-to girl. You will not be disappointed. Hire Emily! 🙂

I've been drawn to birth work my entire life and have found such a profound calling in my work as a doula, supporting families through their own birth journeys. I've been a part of the medical field for the past 15 years and this work has led and prepared me into my role as a doula. I am passionate about supporting families, encouraging mamas to use their intuition to meet their babies and holding space for this transformative experience that is birth. The shift into motherhood and bringing baby home is intense and beautiful and I absolutely love working with families throughout their postpartum time. I am a mama to two beautiful girls and my own unique birth experiences have helped fuel my desires to be a doula. My man and I have been married for ten incredible and crazy years. We love traveling, snowboarding and adventuring with our tiny tribe.

Care philosophy

My heart is to empower other women to feel strong and successful. I have no agenda and I enter your story with no expectation. I simply hope to bring knowledge and guidance to the table. I am your champions and advocate. I am beyond honored whenever I’m invited into someone’s birth story.

Katie is the kind of doula every mama deserves! She is incredibly compassionate and listens so well. Katie walked through my pregnancy with me each step of the way, instilling confidence and peace as she educated and encouraged me in my journey towards a VBAC. She even made me a personalized birth affirmation banner for my hospital room. During my labor and delivery, she brought such a calming presence and was a warrior advocate for me the entire time. I am forever grateful that I made the decision to include Katie White in my birthing team.

I have been assisting family and friends with birth for about 12 years. I saw my first birth when I was 13 and knew the birth world was a perfect fit for my heart. I have three children, two girls and a boy. All of my birth experiences were very different, but my son's birth is what helped me decide to pursue my Birth Doula certification. I had overwhelming support from my midwife in such a way that his un-medicated, natural water birth was serene and one I'll never forget. My Birth Doula package includes two prenatal visits at your home, generally two hours long, support for your entire labor and delivery up to two hours postpartum (flexible), one postpartum visit in your home as well as unlimited email, phone and text support from the time of hire.

Care philosophy

I believe that every birthing family deserves support through one of the biggest transitions of their lives. I'm here to offer emotional, physical and mental support for my families. Birth is such a beautiful blessing and I want to ensure my families have the education, encouragement and comfort they deserve.

My husband and I were referred to Amanda by a friend who was a former client of hers. Upon meeting Amanda, I instantly connected with her and appreciated her warm and confident presence. She is very well-versed in her trade and was a constant for us as we prepared for the birth of our first child, during child labor and beyond. Amanda was attentive to our needs and aware of surroundings. I felt confident going into child labor that Amanda was on our side and would do all possible to make it a joyful experience. And that she did!

Being a doula and supporting any person/couple who desires that kind of support is a passion & deep desire of my heart. My birth stories are 2 of the most significant events in my life - they were beautiful, challenging, empowering, and deeply personal to me. The support I received at both births had such a profound impact on each birth story and the outcome. My desire is to support, encourage, and hold space without judgement or critique for birthing people so that their birth stories are ones of positivity, empowerment, intimacy and joy. I provide 2 prenatal visits where we establish your birth goals, discuss labor and birth, and establish a trusting relationship for you and your partner. I work closely with partners so that they are empowered, equipped, and confident as your number one support in labor and are as involved as they choose to be. Once in labor, I am with you constantly, as well as immediate postpartum. I do a follow-up postpartum visit within 2 weeks of birth to go over breastfeeding, baby wearing, other helpful tips and suggestions that go along with settling in and transitioning into parenthood, and most significantly, processing your birth experience. I have multiple packages available based on what kind of support you desire. I also have a scholarship fund made of contributions from previous clients that can be used to help with the investment, if financial assistance is needed.

Care philosophy

I work closely with my clients/partners to build a strong, safe, and trusting relationship providing emotional, physical, & with informational support & advocacy. My goal is to support your birth goals & preferences, resulting in your birth experience being as positive & meaningful as possible. Being invited into a birth is an honor, I aim to provide the support that the role deserves.

Anna provides the perfect balance of business and bedside manner. While it was clear from the outset that she was incredibly knowledgeable about the birthing process and all it entails, it was the caring, empathic energy that exuded from her that sealed the deal for us. She took time to truly get to know us, our goals for our birthing process, as well as understanding that when it’s go time, things can fly out the window. We felt over-prepared, in the best way possible, for our journey to meeting our little man. When labor did arrive, Anna was the eagle scout we all need: prepared with all the tools (from snacks to juice to appropriate and timely interventions) necessary to make labor as comfortable and joyful as it could possibly be.
We cannot say enough good things about Anna so we will leave it at this: If you are contemplating utilizing the services of a professional doula, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you pass up the opportunity to have Anna be a part of your process.

As a doula, I am honored to be welcomed along your families journey, helping you to discover and believe in your own strength, to trust your heart and body. To empower you! Experiencing my own births opened my heart to this amazing feeling of empowerment and connection with my body, my partner and my children. With each pregnancy I learned more. With each birth I chose a new path. I grew as a woman and as a mother. I wasn't educated on birth at first, I didn't know that it was a natural process, I didn't have the support that is so very needed while in this fragile state. My first two births weren't on my own terms, but through my third and fourth, I listened to my body, I learned to trust my body. This is what brought me to become a doula! -Jessica

Care philosophy

I will be there to support you from beginning to end. I'll be there to make sure you maintain and feel confident in your birth space, knowing that you are making the right decisions for yourself and baby. Keeping you centered and making sure those around you respect your birth plan, is my main focus! Support, educate, and empowering families to birth their way!
