Practice overview
Informed consent is central to the care. It is your body, your birth, your baby. I do not have an agenda besides making sure the pregnancy birth is unfolding normally/safely and supporting your desire. Parents should be at the center of their birth team, informed, empowered, supported and centered in decision making in any and every birth location. At every birth and in every setting all the people in the birth room are working for the family, and parents and providers should always know this. It is a privilege to be in somebody's birthing space and this must never be taken for granted. A montrice is a wonderful option for women who would like to labor at home as long as possible, but deliver in a hospital setting. Licensed Midwives are able to monitor the advancement of labor, yours and your babys well being in your home until it is time to go to your out of home birthplace. We help to make that transition at the right time, and continue to support you as a doula when you are with your planned care providers.

I’ve been lucky enough to attend births with her, and hear about her stories over the years. She is a force of nurture a breeze of quiet and a wide mama. Shelton is a fantastic addition to the birth world. She is a great choice for a Homebirth midwife to Roseville California.

I have known Shelton for 12 years and have watched her dive deep into her passion for birth. I can say that she is connected to a strength of spirit that quite special. I feel like she creates a space where folks can really be themselves – she is excited to meet you where you are at and support you in the best way while also bringing her skill and wisdom to the table.
