    The word "Barakat" translates into "blessings", encompassing what a blessing pregnancy and birth are, as well as the blessing that you are welcoming into your life. My goal as your doula is to make your birth experience as blessed as possible.

    As a Doula, my goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum life.

    I love working with expectant mothers and their families to help them navigate their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. I look at each new birth as a unique experience and in return I provide mothers with the encouragement and motivation they need.

    I have always been passionate about women's health, including all things pregnancy and birth-related. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Health Sciences, I decided I wanted to become a midwife to best help birthing women and their families. While I am still on my journey to becoming a midwife, I discovered that being a doula is a perfect way to help families on my journey and theirs!

    Birth Doula Package
    $ 850
    With my Birth Doula Package, I offer unwavering support to you and your partner before, during and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and step in with anything you might need. Package includes but is not limited to:  - 2 prenatal visits  - Unlimited access via text, phone, and email throughout pregnancy - Unlimited support during labor and birth  - 1 postpartum visit

    Planned Belly Birth Support
    $ 750
    Those delivering via cesarean section need support too. With this service, I am committing to help you and your family throughout your pregnancy and delivery to ensure you have the best birth experience possible.  ​ Includes but is not limited to:  - 2 prenatal visits  - Unlimited access via text, phone, and email throughout pregnancy - Support from arrival at hospital  - Assistance with breast- or bottle-feeding - 24 hour post-delivery visit - 1 postpartum visit  ​ **Please note that some, but not all hospitals allow birth support during cesarean delivery. I will  do my best to fight to be present, and will be present prior to delivery and postpartum.  ​

    Pregnancy Only Support
    $ 650
    If you don't want a doula present at your birth, but would still like access to an expert to support you throughout your pregnancy to navigate planning, questions, challenges and questions, this option is for you.  ​ Includes but is not limited to:  - 2 prenatal visits  - Unlimited access via text, phone, and email - Provider and birth place planning and selection - Teaching comfort measures to help you through labor and birth - Lists of resources ​

    Postpartum Package
    $ 35 /hr
    Daytime postpartum visits can range from 3 to 8 hours long between the hours of 9am and 7pm. Visits may be daily, weekly, or any other frequency that works for you and your family. ​ Package includes but is not limited to:  - A calming presence, emotional support, and non-judgmental listening - Breast/bottle/combination feeding support and encouragement - Caring for the infant(s) and/or older children - Light housework (laundry, dishes, etc.) - Cooking, grocery shopping, meal planning including vegetarian/vegan, comfort foods, special diets - Community resources and referrals for additional postpartum services - Education on safe newborn care including safe sleep, bat

    Overnight Postpartum Support
    $ 40 /hr
    Overnight care shifts are from 8 to 12 hours long, between the hours of 9pm and 9am.  ​ I provide expert night time infant care so that parents can feel at ease resting and caring for themselves after their baby’s birth. Overnight care is customized to each family’s needs and supports their chosen feeding preferences and routines. Bottle feeding, breastfeeding, pumping, and combination feeding families can all utilize this invaluable service. Overnight care can be offered in conjunction with birth doula and/or daytime postpartum doula support.
