Practice overview
My journey to birthwork began before I was born, with my mother choosing an unmedicated birth. When I became pregnant, I was confident I could do the same. I am so grateful for the support I had from my family during birth and postpartum. It didn’t take me long to realize that not everyone is so fortunate. My son’s birth catapulted me past the point of casual interest in birthwork into full-blown passion.
I view being a doula less as a business opportunity and more as a community service. Not so long ago, birthing people were attended by their family and maybe a wise woman. I dream of the day that the doula “business” becomes obsolete and once again becomes a natural function provided by family and friends.
Outside of birthwork, you can find me out in nature, devouring a book, or cooking.

It was great to have her help us prepare and answer our questions as we led up to the birth of our daughter. Having her at the hospital with us was priceless! She was able to help translate what the medical staff was saying and really aided us in making informed decisions. My husband said that she was a huge support for him and that he would have felt very alone and insecure without her there. 10/10 would recommend!

She will help you incorporate both evidence based research and ancient wisdom as you consider options for your pregnancy and birth. She is passionate about supporting women both one-on-one and in the community. I would recommend her to someone having a hospital birth, home birth, or anything in between.
