Marta Michalska-Uras MCD, MCPD, MCPCD, MBE, MCE (Madriella) is a certified Professional Birth and Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Educator and Childbirth Educator and mindfulness and holistic practices passionate. She has a Bachelor Degree in Education from a prestigious Charles University in Prague with extensive psychology courses and five years experience teaching pre-school and primary school students. Marta is very passionate about doula work and accompanying women as they prepare for childbirth, and she continues to support them in birth and beyond.
Marta is a peaceful yet spirited mother to 3 wonderful boys- Twins conceived via infertility treatment and delivered vaginally at 38+3 (induced & epidural) and our little Surprise conceived naturally and delivered via unmedicated natural birth. Second pregnancy sparked her passion to become a doula – she studied while being pregnant and applied some techniques while delivering her youngest due to lack of available doula support in town. It was such an amazing experience!
Marta calls herself a citizen of the world. She is Polish, married to a Turk, lived in Prague for six years, Louisiana for three and now in Cincinnati. As a person who knows how difficult it is to have babies without family support, she is pretty intuitive and open to what a client might need.
Marta values inclusiveness, social justice, and equality. She serves all clients regardless of race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex & gender identification abilities, and political identity.
In spare time Marta loves to sing, she has Bachelor in Music Education and she took part in two TV programs as well as performed many concerts- so she loves to use voice techniques in sounding out birth and relaxation.
