She is knowledgeable about birth and is always ready to suggest new positions or ideas to help parents enjoy their labor. She is reliable to the extreme and is always prepared for any situation. Karen is absolutely an asset to the birthing community in our area and I would recommend her to anyone!

January 9, 2021 at 9:29 am | Client reviewKaren was everything I could possibly want in a doula and more. She gave us a great deal of information in our prenatal visits in a caring and thoughtful way that we could understand. She was knowledgeable and open to all options for birth journeys. Going into labor I understood all of the potential outcomes in a way that made me feel more comfortable and at ease for the entire process. Karen’s assistance through labor and the birth as well as aftercare were second to none. I would give my highest recommendation to anyone considering the use of a doula. My husband, my baby, and I are all far better for having used her wonderful services.

We had slight traumatic labor and delivery with our second baby which led us to consider a Doula for our third baby. One of my favorite things was how Karen would end our home visits with a guided meditation. I already knew that walking and doing exercising would help mom and baby during delivery but Karen gave me specific stretches and exercises to help prepare my body for labor and delivery.
Family is comforting to have in the delivery room for support but in our experience, it caused more emotional stress than anything when things got scary during our second delivery. Karen was our calm during a time when anything could have gone wrong, not only for me but for my husband. I decided to do a medicated hospital birth. Karen helped me be confident to go as long as I did without an epidural. She kept me energized and hydrated during my labor. Karen cared for me just as my own mother would have.”
