Practice overview
I am a founder of Motheretreat. We are a group of individuals who practice holistic care for women through all phases of motherhood. We have everything from prenatal massage and education classes, and birth doula support; to postpartum closing ceremony, baby wearing classes and postpartum doula support.
In our business, we rely on evidence-based medicine and international research; while also striving to maintain a respectful attitude towards the opinion and wish of the mother. We believe that she is the one who intuitively knows what is best for herself and her child. As such, we understand that this is all in the context of the uniqueness of the history of each woman. We strive to help each woman find her place, and to realize what exactly it is that she needs to smoothly transition into motherhood. Our goal is that all women feel satisfied and happy with their birth experience.

February 13, 2021 at 5:57 pm | Client reviewOlga was a fundamental part of my birth experience. She made sure that I was well-informed of all of my different choices during our prenatal meetings, and offered different classes to teach me about pain management techniques that were undeniably helpful during my birth. When I was in labor, she was by my side for everything I needed; and was a huge support for both me and my partner. We couldn’t have gotten through our birth without Olga!! She also made sure that I was well taken care of during my postpartum time by checking in on me, and even helping me heal through her closing of the bones ceremony. Thank you so much Olga! I would highly recommend her to ANYONE who is in the South Florida area!

February 16, 2021 at 6:11 pm | Client reviewOlga is an amazing doula, what would I do without her! It was my first pregnancy, and she helped me a lot. She answered a million questions and supported me a lot during the whole way. So before I went to the hospital I was prepared and was not scared. She helped me a lot during the delivery. Magic massages, music, everything made my Journey very easy. I’m glad that I made a right chose and decided to deliver my baby with Olga!

March 18, 2021 at 9:45 am | Client review“I would love to share my amazing experience with Olga as my doula! She worked with me during preparation, in labor, and during the postpartum as I recovered. Before I met Olga, I read a few books by Micheal Oden and was dreaming about natural home-birth, but there were so many questions about how to make it reality.
At our first prenatal meeting, Olga shared with me that there are women who will feel the best in the hospital and there are women who feel best in a homebirth. And that all of this is normal, and there no one is better or worse, everyone has to choose their own way. And after this meeting, I exactly realized who I’m and what I need. Olga helped me a lot with preparation: she knew lots of specialists who may be needed, she gave me a checklist of what I should prepare for me and for our son, she was ready to explain everything.
My labor was extremely quick- only 2.5 hours! Since nobody was expecting this, Olga and my midwife were at another birth, and she had to eventually call her back Mila to come. We are so fortunate that Olga is surrounded by such an amazing circle of specialists, such as her backup doula who cared for my baby, husband and myself for hours after the delivery. Once Olga got there we were all enjoying this beautiful moment together!
The next day, Olga came to spend time with our family, giving us wonderful advice about my recovery and help with the baby. She even made us food, and we had great conversation about my birth experience. The mo”

What can we say about Olga? She just didn’t show up! Olga knew the date and time we were scheduled for induction and we kept her posted about every step along the way and she just yet did not show up. During prenatal visits, she advertised knowing the doctor and the hospital we were scheduled to give birth yet did not know the hospital basic visit rules and claimed it was out of her control that the hospital did not let her in past 8pm without a badge. She found this fact out by calling the hospital the day AFTER the birth. A prepared professional would have called BEFORE coming in and get a visitor badge. She charged $1,000 for the birth alone but refused to fully refund us because she alleges she got ready and drove to the hospital. MINDBLOWING. We did not pay for her to get ready and drive to the hospital, we paid her to assist during the birth, which she did not. Total money grab situation.

January 25, 2024 at 11:22 amI deeply empathize with the family’s traumatic birth experience. As a doula, I provided unwavering support, despite challenges. The hospital’s restrictions on doulas led us to refer to me as a friend. There was no prior communication about visiting hour restrictions or doula access. Urgent messages at 9cm dilation prompted my immediate response, but upon arrival at the hospital, I learned of a sudden c-section without a given medical reason. Despite my efforts, I couldn’t be present during the procedure, and the nurses were aware of my expected visit, with no communicated restrictions. The father, during our postpartum visit, demanded a full refund, attributing blame to hospitals, doctors, and myself. Although my contract doesn’t mandate a refund, I issued $500 out of compassion. I understand the complexity of the situation and remain committed to supporting families through unforeseen challenges.
