Practice overview
The beginning of my never ending curiosity for birth work came after my mom gave birth to my youngest brother. Having gone through a Cesarean delivery, and seeing how hard it was on her body and she not only had a newborn but two other children( myself and my other brother.) I had an immediate natural calling to help, comfort and be the strength for my brothers and I. I was the oldest girl growing up and families would entrust me to help watch after their children. When my family and I relocated from Maryland to South Carolina I grew with many families around the Grand Strand fulfilling the role as babysitter or nanny. When i learned about what a postpartum doula was and it clicked. This is my divine calling in life. I love supporting families. Especially through those raw, early and new baby days. Normalizing the vulnerable and heavy experiences of birth and new parenthood means the most to me. It’s who I am as a postpartum doula.
