As a bilingual Holistic Doula, I provide physical, emotional, and educational support to expectant mothers (parents) during the transformational periods of pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I have had the opportunity to work with many birth workers, so I tend to seek out people who would make a wonderful addition to the birth work field. Having known Michelle for 10 years, I was very honored to recommend her for our new class of doulas at our local Healthy Start. Michelle was accepted into the class and passed with flying colors to obtain G.R.O.W. Doula certification, as I knew she would.
I first met Michelle at our children’s soccer club. She was very kind, compassionate, and encouraging with all the players. I had ample opportunity to observe how she handled potentially emergent situations, as well as watch her calm and soothe children with more minor injuries (and their parents!). Her caring presence and ability to calm tense situations were my primary reasons for referring Michelle to our new doula program. However, there were many other reasons to advocate for her.
Our doula program is actively seeking to create a climate of peaceful births across all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. We are focused on helping to create a community with birth equality and equity, respecting decisions across all cultures. Michelle actively promotes these values, and strives for equity and inclusion in her life. She is kind and loving, and a strong advocate. Her clients always rave about her phenomenal support.

She was knowledgeable, experienced, and incredibly supportive. She was able to answer her clients questions and provide great advice that was tailored to each individual question. Her professionalism and calming demeanor made me and my peers feel at ease throughout the entire experience. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a doula.
