Lindsey D. | International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in MA

Dairy Fairy Lactation Massachusetts

    Practice overview

    I've worked as a nurse in labor and delivery for seven years, a hospital-based lactation consultant for five years, and have been providing in home lactation consultations for three years. I found my passion in helping families transition as smoothly as possible through the newborn phase. So, I now offer in home and virtual lactation consultations to families in Western MA and the surrounding areas.

    I work hard to time my visits to coincide with baby's feedings if the consultation is for breastfeeding difficulties. This minimizes disruptions to the family and allows me to get the best sense possible of how well baby is feeding. Before our appointment, I do ask clients to fill out an intake form as thoroughly as they want to. We then spend the beginning of the appointment reviewing your and your baby's health histories. I'll assess your baby and observe a feeding (if you want). Then we discuss all of your options going forward, the pros and cons of each, and we make a plan together. I ask for payment at the time of our visit and will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

    After our appointment I'm available to you for unlimited support via text and phone call, even if completely new challenges arise. Breastfeeding is a marathon, not a race, and I believe strongly that families deserve support the whole way through.

    Tongue Tie Assessment
    $ 100
    This option is for a short in home visit that includes only an assessment of your baby's oral function. This option is ideal if you are fairly certain that baby has a tongue tie and just want to confirm or if you are seeking a frenotomy for your baby and your frenotomy provider wants you to see a lactation consultant first.

    Prenatal Lactation Consultation
    $ 100
    If you want to know how your individual life and medical situations may affect breastfeeding, a prenatal lactation consultation is a great idea!
