Practice overview
At Mindful Conceptions we practice a holistic approach that caters to the mind, body, and spirit for a relaxing birth. I come from a lineage of midwives, doulas, and birth workers that honor traditional support in birthing. I come from a family very deep within tradition to honor the baby being born and support the mother through her courageous creation. This has taught me about the importance for each family to continue the traditions they are looking to start or continue at their births and into their child's lives. Each tradition is different for each family which makes it better and unique to the occasion. From learning from my elders in my family I have learned herbal remedies and natural support techniques to provide before, during, and after labor. Once I became an adult I pushed forward in my dream of becoming a birth worker, herbalist, advocate for women's health, and currently a student midwife. I have dedicated my life to supporting women and families in need of birth/postpartum support and my goal is to make sure that every family has control over their birth and are informed of the information needed to have the birth they desire. April 17, 2022 at 11:44 pm | Client reviewKey’s prenatal care was very informative and comforting. She always reminds me that it’s my birth and allowed me to do just what I was comfortable with. Every visit was super vital to the preparation of my labor because everything we went over was used during the actual labor and was VERY EFFECTIVE during labor and delivery. When I actually went into active labor her arrival was very quick and she instantly began to assist and talk me through my contractions and mental preparing me for delivery. I was I labor for almost 13 hours and she was so PATIENT, ATTENTIVE, and COMFORTING. Having a first time home birth was very scary for our family but having Key in the house she turned our doubts into optimism. Once I was actually delivering the baby she did just what I needed and allowed me to experience the most supernatural birth I had always dreamed of! Without Key I would’ve never been able to turn that dream into reality. Our family is very thankful for her compassionate service and will always use her in the future. Thank you again Key for allowing me to take control of my birthing rights as a mother and giving us the opportunity to experience such a beautiful moment in the comfort of our own home! May God continue to bless your hands to help bring life into our world!
