I transitioned from a decade of nannying to becoming a postpartum doula five years ago to focus on supporting new families adjusting to having a newborn. Each family is unique, so my support varies based on their specific needs, offering tailored care to empower and assist them through the beautiful but challenging journey of early parenthood.

May 2, 2024 at 8:06 am | Client reviewIsabella worked for me since my son was 2 weeks old. She was introduced to me when I needed full time help due to an accident that left me deaf in one ear. I went through one of the scariest things in my life all while caring for a newborn baby. Isabella walked in our home on her first day and went room by room doing what she can to organize and assemble everything for the new baby. She is fully certified as a Doula and has her First aide certificate.
While my husband took care of me, I relied on the Doulas to watch out for my baby and teach us what to do. Isabella showed us everything from storing milk, shopping, making baby food and using a bottle warmer. My baby is now starting solid foods and Isabella has consulted us in the most professional way. She refers to the latest evidence-based approaches to childcare and teaches us ways to save money before buying expensive baby things. When she is not working, she always replies to emails if I have any questions. She truly goes beyond being a doula. She even helped make a schedule for classes in the community for me and the baby.

Even my 3 year old, who tends to be cautious with new people, immediately claimed her as a friend. She was thoughtful and generous, communicated clearly and promptly, and was incredibly helpful around the house. We never really had to ask her to do anything, she just saw what needed doing and did it. She has a depth of knowledge about the postpartum months and early childhood that is truly impressive. She would provide an opinion or guidance on a topic if requested, but never insisted on a certain behaviour or choice if we preferred something she hadn’t suggested or recommended. From day 1 we felt completely comfortable and secure in leaving our baby with her. I highly recommend working with her – she’s delightful and truly professional, and clearly really enjoys caring for families.

Her experience and passion has grown tremendously over the years and she now has her own doula practice. I’ve seen her work with children and families and she is always so patient and encouraging – everyone always loves her and is very sad to see her go when their time comes to an end. She definitely leaves her mark on everyone she encounters. Although I have years and years of experience with kids, I am constantly learning things from Isabella, specifically when it comes to newborn care. She really has put a lot of time into her education and is constantly adding to it with new specializations and services. I can safely say you won’t find a more educated, passionate, and overall genuine, honest human being to work with your family. You will be in the safest hands and will feel completely relaxed and at peace. She’s the best in her field!

She helped our family out tremendously in terms of supporting the social, emotional and physical development of our son as well as maintaining a clean, tidy and hygienic home. From the moment I met Isabella we just clicked and I felt instantly comfortable to leave my baby in her capable hands. She has great communication from bookings, to follow ups, and appointment confirmation. She always arrived early to review instructions for the day. Not only did she do a great job watching my daughter (and teaching her baby sign language) she also helped with chores around the house, making the transition back to work that much easier. My daughter would reach out for Isabella every time she arrived and I was so happy knowing my daughter was excited to see her.
