Practice overview
I come into full spectrum doula work after a decade of growing my own family through infertility, fostering, adoption, and IVF and documenting our life and births along the way. Showing the power, truth, and beauty of these moments through photography is truly the cornerstone of my work. Being able to facilitate a space that feels safe enough to explore all of your options and decide what's best for you and your family is something I'm very proud to be able to provide to clients from a variety of backgrounds without judgement. Education, connections to other professionals in the industry, and comforting touch are all things my care include.

February 11, 2021 at 5:49 pm | Client reviewHeather was the perfect addition to our birth team. She was such a calming presence and held space for me to ride the waves of labor at my own pace. Though I didn’t want physical comfort measures, she was able to find ways to make the process easier for me. She worked so well with my wife, which is exactly what I hoped would happen. I could sense the harmony in their relationship which put me at great ease. Her photography was beautiful and unobtrusive. I never felt annoyed when I saw her holding the camera and she was always present to help me time my contractions when I needed her. She was also fantastic with the big kids and I was so grateful that she was able to distract and spend time with them when I couldn’t be present. She also made herself available to come to my ECV when we found out that the babe was breech. I (thankfully) did not have to have the baby on that day, but knowing she was there was such a comfort. We were so lucky to find Heather. I’d have a dozen more babies if it meant I could have her on my birth team again!

February 12, 2021 at 4:30 pm | Client reviewHeather was great to work with. As a first time Mom anxious about breastfeeding, she suggested a couple of wonderful resources for me that made a huge difference. She was such a champ during my 26-hour labor, providing hours and hours of counter-pressure relief during low-back contractions. She also had all the “things” to try to help, like a TENS machine, which did help for me. I felt really comfortable given Heather’s experience and knowledge and would recommend her, hands down. We’ve gone on to use her for babysitting as our daughter is growing up and she absolutely adores Heather!
