A birth doula is a trained professional who is dedicated to providing emotional, physical and informational support to a birthing person and their partner before, during and after birth. I was supported by a doula during the births of my two children and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. Those two births had many differences, but what they had in common is that I walked away with a sense of strength and empowerment that I had never before experienced. I knew immediately following the birth of my daughter in 2017 that I wanted to help others experience that same feeling of satisfaction with their births. Right away I started trying to learn everything I could about pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period and in May of 2019 I started training as a birth doula. No matter your personal birth preferences, I provide judgement free support and help make your birth a positive experience! I would be honored to be a part of your team.
