Practice overview
I decided to slightly adjust my career path from a Child Care Provider to a Doula by attending IAP Career college, achieving a certificate in Doula Business Ownership with 148 hours of study, CCBC where I'm currently pursuing my pathway in Early Childhood Development and Yoga Practitioner, and Madriella Doula Network where I've acquired my certifications in Birth/Postpartum Doula work. I am continuing to take courses such as Childbirth Education, Lactation Education, and Young Parent Specialist to further my knowledge to better assist parents in need of guidance, and I plan to become a Certified Licensed Midwife in the future.
Realizing that valuable information around pregnancy, birth and parenthood is commonly left out, I vow to help ease anxieties by helping new expecting parents become knowledgeable and prepared for what's to come, increasing their ability to self-advocate, make informed decisions-giving them their sense of control back, and still having that control in finding a healthy balance between taking care of themselves as well as the baby. Moms need care too!
