Madhu was such an asset to my birth support team! From the first time I met her, she thoroughly listened to mine and my partners wants and needs and supported me the entire time. Having her as my doula really helped me have the birth I dreamed of. At every meeting, my partner and I learned something new and how to prepare for the arrival of our baby. So when the time came, we felt well equipped and prepared to stick to my birth plan. She provided us with comfort measures, information to make our own decisions, and most importantly peace of mind. I definitely recommend having Made as your doula!

Working with Courtney as our birth doula was an amazing experience! I highly recommend her services. She was well educated, informed on all birthing questions I had and was a big comfort. My husband and I both felt really connected with her, and she valued our birth plan. She was my advocate and a huge help in the delivery room.

A postpartum doula can provide emotional support, help with breastfeeding, assist with household tasks, and offer guidance on newborn care. Having a doula can help ease the transition into motherhood and provide valuable support during this season of change. After giving birth, it's essential to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Every family has unique needs, so we work together to find the best approach to address and fulfill those needs. When I say that God placed Doula work in my path, I truly mean it. I graduated from Millersville University with my Bachelor's in Social Work, so helping my community has always been a passion of mine. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, Diversifying Doulas was an amazing program created through an organization called Patients R Waiting, that fully funded women of color in Lancaster, PA to become Doulas for FREE, as well as serve pregnant women of color in the community for free with our services, funded through Patients R Waiting! I happened to be scrolling on Facebook, I came across the program, and the rest was fate. Since then, I am now a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, and I am currently working towards my official DONA certification. With my background in Social Work and my deep empathy for advocating for women, becoming a Doula has been nothing short of empowering and amazing. Now, I aspire to share my newfound knowledge of the strength of women, as well as how to cope with labor, birth, and postpartum to help women experience pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with confidence and support.

Care philosophy

I am so passionate about informed consent, and helping my mamas to be understand their options during labor and birth to create a birth plan, help mamas understand their bodies through comfort measures and understanding labor, as well as empowering mamas to advocate for their baby, their body, and their birth. I hope through my services to help educate, empower, and inform!

Hey loves! My name is Jasha and I am The Saye Birth Doula. I am very excited to assist all birthing persons in their journey through pregnancy. At a young age, I remember being in awe by the essence of babies. Luckily me, I come from a big family, my mother, had 6 children, along with 6 fascinating tales of her natural child birth experiences. These stories clung to me as I entered college and researched through the lens of Anthropology, fertility and women’s reproducing agency in societies everywhere. Eventually, I became an auntie and realized I loved supporting my sister’s pregnancy. I felt the call to birth work while guiding my sister in meditation. Reconnecting to the body and the love that touches baby and cycles back to parents. It was an empowering moment of peace for my sister that spoke to me. Urging me to join MamaGlow Doula Immersion certification training.

Care philosophy

Jasha as the Saye Birth Doula specializes in honoring the remembrance of birthing experiences and creating comfort for the parent(s) to be. She helps to find the foundational grounding along the way to advance the desired birth plan and prompt our body’s natural pain relief to work throughout labor.

Sarah is an amazing doula. She was so present, calm, comforting, and just all around a joy to be with. She made my labor and delivery feel incredibly safe and as enjoyable as possible. In the toughest moments she never wavered. She helped me find more comfortable positions and went wherever I felt I needed to be. She laughed with me, encouraged me and supported me through everything. She was PERFECT and Pregnant herself and not once did that take away or distract from my experience! If you are pregnant, I highly recommend Sarah!
