I have spent the past 10 years mentoring college students and helping them navigate a significant transition in their lives. I've always been interested in the healthcare field though, and when I learned about doulas I saw a great possibility of continuing to help people navigate transition and providing wholistic support to them. I went through full spectrum doula training last year and am looking forward to serving people as a birth and postpartum doula! I work with a non-profit organization so I am able to provide support to people without cost. She was constantly encouraging me and asking me what I needed. My labor ended with an emergency (everything is fine now). Emily was very calm during it all. I am a wife and the mother of 6 beautiful children. My family is the most important part of my life. Nurturing relationships with those most significant people in my life is my top priority.
