I started in 1995 and in 1998 started work at a hospital-based doula program. When I first started in 1995 I was attending friends and family births. I had also been attending preemie support groups for my daughter born at 32 weeks by emergency c-section. From there I went onto become a trained DONA birth doula. I've had experience with: IVF, twin births, rainbow babies, fetal demise, advanced maternal age, adoption, immigrant women and underserved populations. I've had additional training in: Sexual Abuse Survivors and Birth, Optimal Foetal Positioning, Loss in Pregnancy and Childbirth, Mayan Abdominal Massage, Rebozo Techniques, Advanced Doula Support. I'm also certified in Gilligan's Guide training. I've had 3 pregnancies, 2 live births. I live in the Twin Cities area with my menagerie of animals. I love to travel and have lived in Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia and Libya.
