Nikki P. | Postpartum Doula in Los Angeles, CA

Queen of Cups Doula Care

    Practice overview

Hey there! My name is Nikki and I'm so excited to support you and your family during this transitional time your lives! My background is primarily in childcare (which I did for about 5 years) and that is where I discovered my passion for supporting new parents and babies. Caring for families during the most exciting but also most vulnerable and scary time in their lives brings me great joy. I particularly take interest in helping LGBTQIA+ families, neurodivergent parents, and parents dealing with a postpartum mood disorder. My job is to leave a family feeling better than when I arrived by providing emotional and physical support, education, information, and resources.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Nikki as our doula. She provided so much support, both emotionally and physically with tending to our daughter. We highly recommend her!

Where to begin. Nikki is just the best. She went above and beyond for us. We didn’t know what a postpartum doula was until I happened upon them while prepping for the birth of our baby in the final weeks. As first time parents, the idea having someone support us and help us learn and adjust to life as new parents was a great idea, and it turned out to be essential. My husband and I were in a pretty unique situation where we had no support system as our family was 3000 miles away. We had Nikki helping us for longer than I think most people hire postpartum doulas for, but we needed her.

It’s hard to express how much she helped us. She was absolutely wonderful with our little guy and he loved her!! She not only helped with the baby, but helped my husband and I as well. She did some overnights for us in the beginning, which gave us some much needed sleep, but once the baby started sleeping through the night, we switched to daytime help. She helped us with general baby education and care, making sure I ate and showered, helped with breastfeeding, recommendations and advice on baby gear, developmental things, bathing, playtime, laundry, cleaning pump parts, etc. She has a wealth of knowledge and also knew where to go to find such information.

One a side note and bonus – she is great with pets!!! We have a pretty bouncy puppy and she took everything in stride.

Our baby, our puppy, my husband and I love Nikki and can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us.

Nikki was a godsend during the delivery and first couple of weeks of my LO’s life. My delivery was especially hard — stalled labor, emergency C section. Having Nikki support both my parent and I during those long days was invaluable. She went above and beyond. At home, she was always a wonderful source of knowledge and help during the first few weeks. My recovery was long and hard– Nikki helped soften the landing of being home and caring for a child.
