Practice overview
I’m a nonbinary doula that firmly practices anti-racist, trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and access-centered care. My role as a doula includes centering my clients, building education, providing support, holding space, and advocating for them when they want it.
My college professor ignited my first interest in doula-work, telling birth stories through my gender studies courses. After some years of pursuing a career in ministry, I rediscovered my passion for birthwork when discussing my future family with my new partner. This passion has taken over my life, and I am thrilled about my growing doula career.
I'm certified as a birth and labor doula through BEST Doula training and currently certifying as a full-spectrum doula through Birthing Advocacy Doula Training. I’m also training as a Childbirth Educator (BADT), and have completed Disability and Birth training (BADT). I live in Dallas, where I love spending time with friends and remaining involved in social justice efforts. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my partner and dog to new places, eating delicious food and trying new coffee. I also love to watch countless movies (for self-care!), and also enjoy a good musical from time to time. I really hope I’m able to take my partner to their first Broadway show someday soon!
