We hired Lindsay as soon as we could. There was no one else I wanted to help me through my pregnancy and transition into parenthood. Her steadfast energy and non judgmental support through my labor helped me have the birth I had planned. She didn’t shy away from my postpartum texts and continued to support me with her non-judgmental and calming energy helped prop me up in moments of doubt and exhaustion.
If you want an advocate, confidante, and a family member then you want Lindsay in you corner.

Lindsay was instrumental in making sure that my pregnancy and birth experience went the way I wanted. This was my second pregnancy and I wanted things to go differently than my first. When I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes Lindsay did her own research to help me maintain a healthy diet and keep my blood sugar levels within range. When I went into labor two weeks early, Lindsay was right by my side making sure I was as relaxed and calm as possible. I’m very fortunate that the delivery of my daughter went smoothly but I am CONFIDENT that if there had been a crisis, Lindsay would have helped me advocate for what I wanted. She continues to offer support, 4 months postpartum. Lindsay is generous, welcoming and compassionate which makes her a fabulous doula.

When I first learned I was unexpectedly pregnant, I was terrified. I had so much physical and emotional trauma I had not yet healed from due to previous births. I knew I had to bring help on board. Lindsay was absolutely everything to my family and I. She helped to inform me of all of my options (with evidence based resources), which helped me feel empowered and confident in making my own decisions. She took care of my other babies for me when I needed the extra help (they still ask when she is coming back over). There was never any judgement or negativity from Lindsay, only unwavering support. She helped me to finally have the birth I had always dreamed of. She helped me to heal. And for that, we are forever grateful.

Lindsay, you have this incredible way of bringing light and joy into a room, while still honoring the depth of struggle someone is experiencing. With this pregnancy, nothing was certain. I was terrified, sick, and anxious. I worried about this baby in every possible way and you were present through all of it. You were a sounding board, a reassuring presence, and a literal shoulder to cry on – far above and beyond your Doula responsibilities.

When our entire plan went out the window, you smiled and said “Ok, I’ve got you.” And you did. You help my husband, my daughter, and you anchored me so steadfastly through some really tough waters until we could bring our baby home. You kept me hopeful and helped me tune out the noise. In those early days of postpartum, raw and vulnerable, you’re the one who crawled into bed next to me and made me feel safe. You listened.

You have helped me heal past trauma, find my voice, regain my confidence and navigate such crazy times. You are a gift to this important work. Each of these mothers, partners, and babies will be better for it; coming into this world with this kind of support, passion and love.
