I sought to become a doula when I was pregnant with my youngest - I feel in love with birth itself and read everything I could to prepare my mind and body the best I could. After walking through intense trauma from his birth (situational, not medical), it only solidified my resolve to become a doula to come alongside other young moms or single moms or women in abusive situations, to support them in this precious time, when no one else will be their voice.
