I am a full spectrum doula, herbalist and student of holistic nutrition.
A doula can not only provide you with the evidence based information you need to make an informed decision about your birth, your story, your baby and your life... a doula is also a witness to your experience, a person who holds space for all your emotions, holds your hand when you feel defeated and celebrates in your joy. Holding your birth vision and preferences as priority, a doula is guaranteed emotional, physical & educational support during the grand initiation into your new life.
Postpartum is a time for (re)learning and discovering the new life before you! This is a time to heal and be cared for as you focus on nurturing your baby. As a postpartum doula, I like to focus on mothering the mother. Caring for the person who brought the sweet babe earthside supports the family unit for years to come & has significant effects on the mothers long term health.
I was led to birth work about 5 years ago through my interests in women's health, nutrition, and herbalism.

First 40 Days Postpartum Package

Three, 4 hour visits per week for the first forty days of your postpartum period. Healing after birth, newborn norms education, lactation, feeding, infant sleep, light housekeeping, light meal prep, infant care, mother care, herbal support, spending time with baby so parent(s) can nap/self care, share resources. Includes herbal preparations that promote healing, massage & meal preparation.

The Fourth Trimester

Three, 4 hour visits per week for the first 12 weeks postpartum. Healing after birth, newborn norms education, lactation, feeding, infant sleep, light housekeeping, light meal prep, infant care, mother care, herbal support, spending time with baby so parent(s) can nap/self care, share resources. Includes herbal preparations that promote healing, massage & meal preparation

Kara helped my wife and I with our first baby for labor/delivery and postpartum care. We had a long difficult 34 hour labor, but she helped us stay calm and did alot of pain management techniques to help us get through it. We also hired her for the first 40 days which I highly recommend for any first time moms! As clueless first time parents, Kara taught us everything we needed to know. She also makes delicious meals, takes care of the baby, gives wonderful postpartum massages, helps with cleaning, laundry and more! Plus she’s so great to talk to ( I vent alot to her). I love her calm vibe and her kind caring heart. She’s really patient and always super positive. I would recommend Kara to my close family and friends looking for a great doula!
