Juliet Henson is a DONA trained Birth Doula, Cloth Diapering Educator, and owner of Empowered Lotus Doula Services. She earned her degree in Music Education with a minor in Spanish, but took a turn in her career path when she gave birth to her first child. Now, since she obviously can’t birth 100 babies, she is thrilled to support others on their
journeys.

The details of childbirth can be recalled for the rest of a parent’s life. When the parents make their own INFORMED decisions in birth, they will remember their birth experience as positive. They must feel loved, supported and EMPOWERED.

Raising her family, some by birth and some by loving choice after their births, has given Juliet a unique perspective in family dynamics. Guiding family members of “blended” families of all configurations through the changes a new baby brings is near to her heart. With a strong and nurtured partner relationship, transitions are eased and incredible bonds grow! After living through her own miscarriage, she is also passionate about helping families navigate pregnancy after loss.

Juliet enjoys parenting her 7 children, growing organic fruits and vegetables, tending to her backyard chickens, and teaching her kids a more sustainable, natural lifestyle. She is always learning and striving to do better in her personal and community life.
