Practice overview
Jessamyn is a second generation birth professional and began her journey into birthwork after the birth of her own daughter in 2007. She has supported hundreds of families in their journeys of early pregnancy through the postpartum years in childbirth education, labor and birth support, and bodywork. She is passionate about guiding families in this life changing time through education and being a trail guide in their own birth, utilizing her intuition, years of experience, continued learning, and years of bodywork therapies. She guides clients towards self-empowerment and informed decision making, while also providing steadfast side-by-side, hand in hand support physically and emotionally.

Jessamyn is highly skilled but more importantly, she is deeply present, empathetic, and exactly what families need when welcoming a new member. When Jessamyn is around, you feel relaxed, safe, and empowered.

What I liked most when we first met her was that she had hospital, birth center and home birth experience but wasn’t pushing us in any one direction, she was just supportive of us and our plan. We ended choosing to have a home birth with a midwife. My wife was in labor for around 18-20 hours at home and was very close giving birth but in the end she needed to rest so we ended up going to the hospital to have an epidural so she could sleep. Jessamyn was right there by our side after more than 36 hours. She worked harmoniously with the nurses and the medical staff while also advocating that the staff be transparent and communicate what they were doing when they were doing it. She enabled us to have a vaginal birth when it seemed the odds were against us. We are eternally grateful for the beautiful birthing experience she helped facilitate. She is a part of our family now.
