I had the pleasure of meeting Jay through our shared midwifery school experience and I am thankful to be sharing this journey with him. Jay is kind, compassionate, and wicked smart. I was excited to see some of Jay’s schoolwork used in an instructors presentation, recently! He is meticulous, warm, caring, and a fantastic listener. He is lovely to be around and has a genuine passion for birthwork. Jay has a unique perspective of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum from his experience as a paramedic and I have learned a great deal from him. I think that any family would be lucky to work with Jay and I would happily, and without hesitation recommend him to families.

As a birth doula, photographer, and pregnant person myself, I was able to get to know Jay through our local birth community. I have seen him in action as a teacher, a doula and a midwifery student and he is amazing! He is true gem, and to have his knowledge, skill, compassion, and excitement surrounding birth is a blessing to all pregnant and birthing people.

I recently had my first baby. During my pregnancy someone suggested I try doula services. I really didn’t understand what a doula was. It was never something I had looked into. I was introduced to Jay the doula, and it was a pretty awesome experience. He answered all my pregnancy questions at all hours of the day and really walked me through the process of what to expect. We came up with a birth plan which wasn’t something I had even thought of before. On the day that I went to the hospital to give birth doula Jay was there before I even got there. He was my advocate to the nursing staff to ensure that the birthing plan was followed, he helped me with breathing techniques, and pain management. All in all it really made the birth of my son extra special. I highly recommend him to all the pregnant ladies out there.

Jay is such a kind soul. He listened to mine and my husbands concerns during pregnancy and helped us find resources we could utilize during labor and birth. He also is patient and a great listener. He supported us postpartum as well when our daughter was hospitalized at 3 weeks old. We will never forget his support!

I have known Jay professionally for over 15 years and am honored to have worked with him as a partner in EMS. I can attest personally that Jay takes great care and pride with all his patients. He has the highest of standards and has always gone above and beyond for anyone he has taken care of. If I knew someone looking for a Doula who would listen to any health concerns for themself and their baby, then it is for these reasons that I would recommend Jay. He is informative and will give you techniques to use in pregnancy and labor. He will take the time to listen to what you tell him and will follow up with you in what ever concern you have going on. You will receive excellent support and encouragement.

He worked well with our budget, he eased my husband’s concerns, he was able to help with our birth plan, he was able to help us prepare for birth especially since we had never given birth having only had csections. He works great with his clients both the expecting mother and the father.

Jay was amazing during the delivery of my son. He was there for whatever I needed and truly dedicated. He was sympathetic and very informative, his experience in the medical field was invaluable and he helped us through a difficult birth. My husband was even more so grateful to have him there and be able to count on him through out everything. He offered great comfort during a very intense time and I will be forever grateful.
