I realized parents did not have the support they needed when working as a nursing assistant at a very busy labor and delivery and postpartum unit in Atlanta, GA. I decided to be the change I needed to see. I strive to give every family the support they need to feel confident in the journey of parenthood.

Having a baby during a pandemic was very hard for us because the hospital canceled all our parenting classes. That’s when we on a quest to find a doula. Jamecia was amazing . She was very patient with us. She taught us so much and helped me with delivery. She even followed up after we brought our daughter home. She was always there for us and truly helped me with my anxiety of child birth . After losing my first I was very distraught and nervous but she was our cheerleader the entire way.

February 15, 2021 at 5:05 pm | Client reviewWhen my husband and I found out we were having our first child, she did not hesitate to offer us her full support, knowledge, and her heart to ensure a healthy mommy and pregnancy. She gave me so much knowledge about pregnancy, labor and delivery that she made me feel confident enough in myself and my body to be able birth my child. She never hesitated to answer any questions I had, no matter how small they were. She gave me so much vital information during my pregnancy. Unfortunately, the hospital would not allow her in L&D due to COVID, but that did not stop her. She made sure she was on FaceTime supporting us through the entire process. Most importantly, she made sure to not only support our new baby, but she focused on my postpartum recovery where most professionals tend to forget about the new mommy. I would highly recommend Jamecia & I look forward to her coming along on the journey when we have our next baby.

Being a doula I thought I knew what I needed to do and tried to prepare my husband for the homebirth but man was I wrong. Jamecia made us both knowledgeable through our home visits and even with the phone check ins she did I knew she cared. Labor she was amazing. She knows her stuff and it shows. Her support was amazing (I wanted her more than my husband lol)

She, without a doubt, helped to make my labor and delivery a less stressful one. She prepared us by providing constant information and was available to answer any questions we had. She remained present from the time we signed the contract to the time our baby was born, and even after to provide support – this was extremely important to me. Jamecia has an amazing spirit, confidence in her job, and maintains her professional throughout. I highly recommend her!
