Passing into Motherhood

    Practice overview

I support women as they pass the threshold into motherhood. I love the dual aspects of strength and vulnerability that play into motherhood and I feel that the most important work I can do is to help women feel seen, supported, and validated as they enter this chapter of their lives. Women are capable of so much more than they often realize, or are recognized for, and I want them to see that too. I stumbled upon @empoweredbirthproject on instagram back in 2018 and was enthralled with home births and the whole process of laboring and birthing in a way I had never seen before. There was a calm power that I didn’t know could be a part of birth. I want to help women find that during their experience. My dream is to build a community were mother’s learn what’s available and how to access it. My dream is to empower mothers to learn how to advocate for themselves and their children. My dream is for women to not be ignored and for our society to make some long overdue adjustments to how we approach birth and motherhood.

    Care philosophy

I support mothers in whatever way feels best to them, whether that’s an unmedicated home birth or hospital birth. My goal is to help mothers and families feel educated, supported, and empowered in their own decisions.
