Practice overview
After the birth of our son, I knew my desire to stand with expecting mothers during the birth of a child would soon be the next step. Over the past few years, I have taken a more holistic approach to life, including parenting, and started to see that unfold into my desire for birth work as well. I am a firm believer that all moms deserve an advocate and support person in a place as sacred as the birth space. Why the name Sacred Oak Birth Services? We gave our sweet, red-headed son Oakley his name from the sturdy, reliable, and awe-inspiring qualities of the Oak Tree. To continue the name for this business it represents all of those same qualities in you - mama. The word sacred entered to tie in my belief that every baby is a miracle, labor is highly spiritual, and at the center of all of it is Jesus. My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Austin Peay State University, and my Birth Doula Certification from Harbor Birth Institute in Nashville, TN.
