Practice overview
Hi there! My name is Briauna Smith and I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula located in the Los Angeles area. Something unique about my practice is that I offer more than just the two standard prenatal visits. This is because I understand that a positive birth experience requires a comfortable atmosphere, so it's important that we get to know each other! It's my goal to help you prepare for the birth you envision and to set you up for success during your postpartum period. I offer additional services such as childbirth education, placenta encapsulation, and more. I birthed my little one a little over a year ago at home (doula and midwife in attendance), which is what ultimately led me to doula work. I believe every woman, every family should be informed about their options and have the opportunity to have the birth they envision. When I'm not visiting with clients or at a birth, I run a natural skin care business, do some nutritional consulting, and am expanding my herbalism practice. I love to cook and read, but I'm mostly adjusting to and enjoying motherhood in my free time.

Her heart is in doula work and parents definitely feel her love and support! If looking for a doula who will advocate, educate, or just hold your hand and listen. She is your girl!

November 7, 2022 at 10:48 am | Peer reviewI am a postpartum doula that worked alongside Bri as our client’s birth doula. She was amazing! So thorough and communicative so that the client was able to make a seamless transition. She really put her best foot forward even providing the client with a nutritious first meal after birth! Speaking directly with the client I also learned that Bri was very supportive in the hospital. She helped the client feel informed and prepared, assisted the client through the best way to advocate for their birth wishes, and made the experience overall one to remember! She also does postpartum work, helping mamas heal and adjust to this new lifestyle providing support that’s extraordinary. She really helps clients feel supported and heard, two very important aspects of birth work!
