June 30, 2021 at 4:42 pm | Client reviewI planned a natural birth with the help of my doula, Amber, and gave birth to a 9 lb 2 oz baby boy on 6.19.2021. Our first prenatal visit was very comforting and I gained alot of knowledge about childbirth. When I expressed how I felt about doing a natural birth, Amber was very encouraging and gave me ways to overcome my fear. I never knew I had so much flexibility with giving birth because my previous 2 pregnancies had been in the hospital (with epidural) and I had no knowledge of the things I learned from Amber. She was always available and responsive when I had a question. The day I went into labor was so unexpected. With Amber’s help I had made it all the way to 8 cm without any medicine. We used aroma therapy and she massaged my lower back which helped ease a lot of tension and helped with the contractions. The medicine ball was also a huge savior!! I got to move around and position myself the way I wanted to which helped alot to get over each wave. I was so proud of myself and I felt like Super Woman. After a while of staying at 8 cm I had to get my water broken by my midwife. My contractions became a little more intense and I started to panic. I cried and asked for the epidural. Amber never made me feel bad or guilty for making the decision. She just kept encouraging me and saying I could do it. I still ended up having a natural birth and the overall experience with Amber was amazing!

July 6, 2021 at 6:33 pm | Client reviewAmber was absolutely amazing, caring and goes above and beyond. We lost our baby it was very tragic for us, she helped us through it and helped us to adjust. It was nice to have a voice that didn’t seem pressuring around us and she was always willing to pray us through. She was a great person to have for a Doula.
