My doula journey began in 2008 after the birth of my own child. Although my experience was incredible, the sequence of events lead me to question how things could have been different. I then began researching and learning all that I could about the options birthing people and their partners had during birth. My goal then was to help support families anyway I could and ensure they never felt alone, pressured, or without choice; and 12 years later, it remains the same.
My attitude toward birth is very modern and balanced. There is no one size fits all approach to people so there can’t be when welcoming a new human to the world. Regardless of your birth choices, I will support you and ensure you are respected no matter what. Hospital or home, in water or in a bed, midwife or doctor I will stand next to you and your partner with kind eyes and a calm touch. I am also currently adding a Hypnobabies certification to better serve my clients!
